I can't write songs? Help?
Musician Advice- Hey I think I can help ya. What you need to TRY (noone should tell you what to do in this area of life) stop listening to artist that inspire you...stop listening to music all together during your writing phase. Go from the heart and believe me, it will work wonders. Also TRY a basic melody and fly from there. Once you have a melody you are ready for lyrics. These are the things I do and I found it best. It may not work for you but like I said, Noone should tell you what to do for this question. You are the artist not them and not the bands that inspire you. Be yourself and find your soul rythm and write like crazy. Also, you are your worst critic. I deleted 2 gigs worth of lyrics and unmixed demos because i didnt like it but alot of others did. Get your pad and pen, KICK ***!!!!!!
Why do you write poems? How does it help you?
Poems are the best way to express the feelings, whether it is love,pain, excitement, happiness or anything else. You don't need to havethe grip on the language, you just need a couple of good words, thefeeling and ofcourse a copy-pen. There is no time slot to write apoem. It really doesn't matter if you are in a boring class, having acup of tea in the evening, travelling in train or even waiting for abus on the bus stop, let the mind go far from the surroundings & flowwith the imagination and start writing. When you have the combinationof feeling and imagination, words automatically start rhyming.The great philosopher Plato said very well.. "At the touch of the LOVE everyone becomes a Poet..!!"Love is the most powerful feeling to write. you can write millions oftimes with this feeling in heart. I, most of the time write when I feel love around me. In my imaginary world I follow an imaginary girl. I find her at random places with a new face each time. random places such as holding umbrella in rain onthe road side, looking for a seat in a bus full of people or playingwith a pet etc etc. and on such a situation she makes me bind a fewwords to describe the whole scenario and I simply cannot resist.An example from one of my khwaab (dreams):khwaab me aaj tumhebus stop pe khade dekha..baar baar ghadi ko dekhtishayad suiyon ko kos rahi thi..!!tum kheejh kar apna haathneeche jhidak detiaur chudiyaan khankhana uthti..!!fir tum idhar udhar dekhti..ant me humari nazarein mili.ghoor kar tumne nazarein fer li..!!!brush karte huye main soch raha tha,agar tum muskura deti to kya hota..??

try freewriting and brainstorming.. just write anything that comes to mind on the subject, then decide exactly what you want to write about. Choose several different areas of your topic that you plan to discuss and make an outline of what you are going to say, including any interesting points you want to make or sentences/phrases that come to mind. After that, all thats left is the writing and the rewritting. Depending on your competency level this could be quick, or long and arduous. Granted that process doesn't work for everyone. I do the first steps in my head and freewrite the first draft of my essays. Its rare that I really need to organize my thoughts before I draft my essay, but alot of people need to do it to keep things logical and organized. Just make sure you check it through when you finished writting it and have some other people read and give you imput on it to make sure it flows and makes sense. I could give you alot more tips but, hell, I could span 16 years of english class trying to do that. If you need help with anything specific you can e-mail if you like. It is usually good to include how the inmate is remorseful and desires to be a healthy citizen contributing to the family and community.If there is potential employment available, housing (so forth) include that as well.Make sure you thank the Honorable Judge and or Parole Board for their time.Sign with your full name in your own penmanship.

That means it is quite possible your readers will be able to second-guess what is going to happen in your novel, making the writing dull. Now you have to think of a really weird twist, and this will make your writing more original.

How do you write 38.7 trillion in number form. Number form for example is that for "one hundred and twenty" you write: 120. Right? So, how do you write 38.7 trillion? I know there is 12 zeroes but what do you do with the point seven (".7") ? Help please!
How does writing a journal help you?
I have been writing journals for years, here is what I think.a) When writing you tend to recall the events for the day. This process improves your memory power, sharpening your memory with each passing day.b) Writing enables you to collect and de-clutter the thought process. It also increases the production of dopamine, a hormone that controls the brains reward system. The very thought of having completed a page of detailed summary gives me a sense of accomplishment.c) I would not recommend to use the journal in pouring out the darkest deepest secrets, but it will always serve as a reference when you need to look up a date as a reference to any specific event.Years later, go through the journal to see how much you have grown as a person. You might start seeing the world and yourself in a completely new perspective.
