What Do We Call The Sessions For Teachers To Correct Their Mistakes In English Held By Educational

How can I learn to write grammatically correct English? What are some books or video lectures that will help me improve?

It is necessary that the basic “structure” of sentences be studied. Most native speakers learn this without studying grammar. The process of memorizing sentences from the time we are small children teaches us how to think continually in terms of basic sentence structure.Nursery Rhymes show us things like:Hickory dickory dockThe mouse ran up the clock. The clock struck one,The mouse ran downHickory Dickory Dock.If you study the Subject———Verb——-Object pattern, you will memorize how to think, write, and speak in terms of basic grammatical structure. The mouse (subject) ran (verb) up the clock (object)An Internet search using the following search termsSubject + Verb + -Objecteither alone or with the term + sentenceswill show you many websites about how to create basic sentences. The following is an example of one such website:Basic Word Order in English: SVO (Subject-Verb-Object)Such websites show how to create sentences with other elements.

Which is correct sentence - the meeting will be held in London or the meeting will be held at London?

The Meeting will be held in London. This sentence is correct because  in and at is the word of Preposition. We use in for Big cities and countries and we use at preposition for small city and village. I am giving an examples. "I live in Mansarover." This sentences is correct but I say that I live at Mansarover in Jaipur. This sentences is also correct because we are using at and in preposition in this sentences. In this sentence I use at before Mansarover and use in before in . Why? because Jaipur is a District and Mansarover is town which is situated in Jaipur. so by this explanation I think so that second sentence is right " The meeting will be held in London. When I try to speak English, words don't come out right. How can I speak fluent English?

Most likely you are afraid of making a mistake.I suffered the same in learning Spanish, and I see it as one of the greatest obstacles for my English students. One of my students recently told me he was in a store and wanted to ask in English, "What is the price of this item?" He planned it out perfectly in his mind, walked up to the attendent, and said "wutprsths?" When the attendent (obviously) did not understand, so my student just said "price," and got the answer he needed.Often we may say "I don't mind making mistakes, I know no one is going to throw tomatoes at me" but deep inside we feel that it is something terrible to speak poorly, and so are terrified of saying something wrong. As a result we overthink what we are trying to say, analyzing the grammar and syntax instead of just pouring forth concepts. This makes speaking very awkward. This can even happen when you are alone, speaking to yourself, because you constantly doubt if what you said is correct (I speak from experience)!Polygot Sid Efromovich points out that we are trained from youth to shun the feeling of having done something wrong, but in learning languages we must seek it, because that means we are crossing into new territory and learning. (See the video below, 29:00)When you are writing you can take time to think about how words should be organized - you cannot while speaking. So you just have to go for it. Spit the words out, and if they are wrong, that's OK. One successful English learner told me that making mistakes was the best learning tool, because he was so embarrased he remembered the correction! From my own experience and research and watching others, I believe the only solution to your problem is to listen to and speak a lot of English. It has to be a natural process that you don't think about, which will only come with lots of practice - as with any skill, from baseball to piano playing to speaking.

Are teachers really underpaid?

@ Debra: I think I have a fairly good understanding of the time requirements of teachers. My mother is an elementary school teacher (3rd grade) who will retire this year. My sister is an English and Latin teacher. Never once do I recall either working a 10 hour day at school during the summer. I do recall Mom bring work home every day, but she would be finished by the time my father got home at 6. Dad is a pastor who makes considerably less than Mom did and worked longer hours the whole year long.

Granted the beginning and ending of the school year Mom and Sis are very busy. Exam time is hectic for Sis. She's also the Drama coach and produces and directs a play in the fall and a musical in the spring and during these times, she works 12 hour days.

As far as bus duty, Mom volunteered for bus duty because (in her district at least) she got an additional $85 a week. Bus duty is so popular that she can't get it more than once every other month.

Ditto with detention. SIs gets p

What is english class like in college?

I think it varies a bit from school to school and based on the type of English course you take. Personally, I found that all of the first year English courses were relatively similar to high school. You don't really learn about grammar, or spelling, since it's assumed that you already know those things. Rather the focus is on literature and 'understanding' it. For my more general first year English course we looked at poetry, short stories, and plays.
As for essays, that depends on you. I find that first year courses don't assign them with more than three to five page lengths. But if you've never been good with essays, they'll suck. But they won't be impossible. And I find MLA is the common English essay format. It's easily accessible all over the web and fairly straight forward. Though I do strongly recommend having (or gaining) a friend who can proof read for you.
Also, community college might be easier so, ideally, I'm giving you a more difficult scenario.
Over all, if you really want to go back to school, don't let one area stop you. It might be hard, but it won't be beyond your capabilities if you try. Either way, good luck.
