Why are anabolic steroids illegal?
BECAUSE THEY WORK- THATS WHY. And the American Food and Drug Administarion cannot abide by that. But I believe it even runs deeper than that. I thoroughly believe that the American policing system greatly fears a population that is bigger and stronger than they are. As a cop- would you rather fight a regular person or a greatly enhanced person? Which one do you fear the most?Further- steroids needed to be demonized also because of American sporting. For some reason the powers that be with an American sports just can't live with enhanced athletes. Something about being fair. I call complete bullshit on that one. Athletes have been trying to gain advantage since the dawn of athletic competition. And since athletic competition is just a different way for people to enact war on each other without causing death, then why would we limit our soldiers? Why would we send our fighters out with bronze blades against steel swords?The point is, steroids scare the shit out of everybody because they are actually very very effective, and for being so effective they have very few side effects. Don't get me wrong, there are side effects but they are mild compared to what they actually achieve within a human being. Strength scares people. And steroids make men truly strong. Legions of strongmen can rebel. And rebellion has to be controlled before it starts.That's why I believe steroids are illegal.

I would not recommend that. I have been running for 8 years now and would recommend the following: I would strengthen the core: calves, quads, hams, back and abdominal (the "six pack" muscles along with the obleks), chest and arms. But when strengthening these muscles, I would focus more on the muscle endurance not the muscle bulk. For more advice for this, I would consult with a personal trainer. For the running part, I would stay flexible as it helps/contributes to your balance (so do the muscles in your core) but also helps prevent some injuries like pulled muscles and shin splints. Also, I would try to make up a schedule where you can run for X amount of days and try to have a long run. I would start off slowly, running about 2-3 miles per run for the first week and increase my mileage per week. Make sure you have the following: a good diet, hydration, sleep, a good sense on how to take care of your body, and sleep. Good Luck!!!

Will steroids disqualify me from joining the military?
My goal is to become a Navy Seal. I plan on enlisting in a few years after college. Im not as big as id like to be and im no where near SEAL big. I was thinking about taking some steroids to get me started. By the time i enlist i will have quit and it will be out of my system. Will this disqualify me if its out of my system?

but daily additional proteins and shakes is not what makes nadal stronger faster and have the stamina he has. if that was the case every or most or majority of top tennis players would do the same thing. im not saying they dont take additional shakes and or proteins. alot may do. but that is not what got nadal in such physical shape. dont tell me its extra protein shakes that gave him his biceps and so much stamina. its not that easy if that was the case why dont wee see more people in his shape and condition with his biceps and his speed.
Why must athletes testify in front of Congress about illicit performance drug use?
"Athletes" in general do not; baseball players and owners are subject to "oversight" by Congress. Baseball players do because Major League Baseball is given an exemption from the Sherman Anti-Trust Act based on a 1922 ruling from the Federal Court - involving a law suit from teh defunct owners of the Baltimore Federal League team from 1914-15. Because of this exemption, MLB can act intentionally monopolistically without recourse (such as whatever they did to the Baltimore Federal League team). However, they are also not effected by the natural market driven oversight that say a car company is. As part of the exemption, Congress has the right to oversight of MLB. Obviously the steroids thing was just a sham so that all the Congressmen involved could look good standing up against steroids.

They will treat steroid use (non=prescribed) as ILLEGAL drug usage > Jail and possible Discharge DH Vet-USAF @dded: Play it safe if your using roids and don't blow up over night take it slow so it looks more like natural muscle growth, most guys who get caught go from no bulk to massive in a few months.
