What Do You Think About The Movie 47 Ronin

What do you think of DJI Ronin-S?

Quite impressive, I think, compact and useful, but not including the price.Perhaps I could recommend you a product that is just as compact and useful as this one, MOZA Air 2 camera gimbal.Gimbal weight is 1.6kg, with maximum payload of 4.2kg. It also has a battery life of 16 hours. The size is 230*240*470 mm. At present it is priced at $599.The user feedback and YouTube reviews are pretty positive.

Movie: 47 Ronin is it any good?

It just depends on what you are looking for. If you want a faithful adaptation of the original Japanese tale, don't watch it. It dwindles from the source material and makes it more Hollywood friendly. I would suggest watching the 1962 version, Chushingura: Hana no Maki, Yuki no Maki, for a more faithful experience.

But you want some pure action fun with some cool fantasy elements intertwined with it, then sure! It will right up your alley :) Enjoy!

Is 47 Ronin worth watching?

I have nothing to do this weekend so I will be going to see a movie. I watch the trailer of 47 ronin and it looks alright but I don't want to waste my time if it isn't good. Should I rather watch it or the secret life of Walter Mitty? Walter Mitty seems good. Oh and I'm a teen so I like action

Hi to all. The main character in the movie 47 ronin name KAI. this is how he worte his name. can some one tell me the kanji and the meaning?

It's 魁 (chief, leader, best, original, pioneer, gigantic, etc.):

It's read as "kai" (a rendering of an ancient Chinese reading, which is applied to the character's name), or "kashira" or "sakigake" (both native Japanese readings).

What is the plot of 47 Ronin?

According to Wikipedia: The outcast Kai (Reeves), illegitimate son of a British sailor and a Japanese peasant woman, joins a group of Rōnin, led by Kuranosuke Oishi (Sanada), who seeks vengeance on Lord Kira (Asano), a ruthless man who killed their master and banished the group. The Rōnin embark on a journey with challenges that would defeat most warriors.

What was in the case in Ronin?

The very same item that was in marselis wallace's briefcase in pulp fiction. Its called a macguffin, a motivational plot device. The actual contents are irrelevant, so long as everyone in the film agrees rhat it is valuable or desirable.

How accurate was the movie 47 Ronin's adaptation of the historical event?

Well the story is largely legendary, it’s not known how much, if any, of it was true as it occurred during a period of strict censorship in Japan and wasn’t written down until decades after it was supposed to occur.I take it you’re referring to the 2013 film with Keanu Reeves? That movie has very little in common with the original story beyond the premise and the fact that the leader Oishi spent time pretending to be a drunk. The supernatural stuff is obviously made up.The story of the 47 Ronin actually diverges from strict bushido in a couple of ways. While planning the raid, Oishi forbid his comrades from murdering women and children, when as a matter of fact bushido does not require mercy for innocents.Oishi has also been criticized for waiting so long to kill Kira. The 47 Ronin spent 14 months pretending to be drunks and layabouts in order to throw off Kira’s spies. They did this so as to choose the best time to attack. The problem this has with bushido is that if Kira had died before the Ronin attacked then they would have never had the chance to avenge their master and they would only have been remembered as drunks and cowards. According to some they should have attacked straight away, even if they all died in the attempt, rather than waiting for the safest opportunity.

Why did 47 Ronin bomb?

I'm actually more curious as to who thought this movie was going to succeed in the first place!  The classic story of The 47 Ronin is inherently Japanese with themes that wouldn't resonate with a huge audience outside of Japan.  You take one of the quintessential Japanese stories and cast a white guy as the lead?  That's bordering on offensive. From the trailers, it's painfully obvious that they deviated so far from the original story that it alienates the audience that would actually be interested in a film adaptation of the source material.Keanu Reeves is not the go-to actor for box office success.Release a SFX laden martial arts movie during the holidays?  Sorry, you need a bigger fanbase to make that successful.I know there's plenty of other reasons that aren't springing immediately to mind, but I'll stop ranting here. . .Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of the above.

47 ronin, which one are true?

So i just finished watching the 47 ronin and found out that the background story of it is true. So during that time was there really a half breed living among them and is there some witch craft back then as well? Or did hollywood OVER exaggerated most of the story.

What do Japanese feel after watching 47 Ronin?

With so many good samurai or samurai-fantasy productions of their own, they hardly even noticed it, and rightly so.(note that even Japanese-made samurai movies are not that popular in Japan anymore. They have their TV dramas and a bunch of anime to fill that niche more than adequately.)The box office results in Japan were, according to one newspaper, "unheard of". As in, that low. It was shown on 750+ screens, but earned only $1.3mln - which, with average ticket price of about $20 means that on average it was watched only by about 80 people in each cinema... (I hope I got the maths right). And since marketing in Japan is still very much a matter of word-of-mouth, I think you can guess from those numbers what that word was ;)
