What Do You Think Of My Daughter

What do you think of my daughter's name?

My little girl is due to make her appearence on March 14th, we decided on a name quite some time ago but because it is so unique we have received many different responses. We are naming her Lexani (lex-ahh-nee) Nicole (Nicole is my little sister's middle name so that has family meaning). It has now grown on both of our families and everyone now loves it, I was just wondering what your initial response to it is!

Also we liked Lexani because although it is very unique it can also be shortened to Lexi, which is a very common name, we figured that way she could express herself in whichever way she preferred, whether she choose to have a name that stands out or blends in, she will have that choice!

Congrats to all you Mommies to be and Baby Dust to all of you trying to conceive!

God Bless

I'm thinking of naming my daughter Kendall...?

It is kind of classy or British in my mind. Strong but not stiff or snobby. Although like others, I have heard it as a boys name before too.

Thinking of naming my daughter Braelyn...? how do you like that name?

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT. It is different and so beautiful. Keera is okay to, but not as unique as Braelyn.

My daughter wants to start shaving, what do you think?

I let my daughter use Nair until I thought she would be okay shaving with a Razor...since she didnt want me to see her naked I could not help her out with the razor and was in a bit of fear of cutting herself. I had her put on some short shorts and did the Nair test, then show'd her how to do it all.

I want to name my daughter Scott-Ferris. Do you think that it's a good name?

I personally don’t think that as a name for a girl Scott-Ferris would work. If you live in America I would not name my daughter that, but if you live in a different part of the world the name would be good. It’s more of a male name in my opinion. I love my name, for guys its a great name and it is an uncommon name. I wouldn’t change my name ever, I love it and so do others its easy to say (I’ve never had a teacher miss pronounce my name ) and simple.

What is the best way to answer the question: "What are your intentions with my daughter?"?

Okay. Consider this situation in your head.. you and your date …. Lets call her Marie.. are going to the movies. you are picking her up at 5Pm because the movie is at 7pm, you two wanna go have a quick meal and generally hang out. Nothing wrong with this. You knock on the door and you say why you are there. “Hi. Ummmm I’m here to pick up Marie.”He’s going to instantly wonder whats up. Its possible that Marie never told her dad whats going on, whats worse is that he will judge you by what you are wearing. he’ll judge you because he doesn’t know anything about you.So Marie comes into the room. “Oh, Hey… “ and awkward silence ensures. Because Marie did’t share with dad that she was going on a date so he wants to clear the air with the question because he wants to know in no uncertain terms what your intentions are towards his daughter and he’ls also sticking you on notice that he’s not going to tolerate any funny business whatsoever..Marie however think she can handle herself and she thinks her dad is being overprotective where as in fact he thinks that Marie is too young for this and it was only last week that she came home from the hospital after being born. So… What do you say to the man who’s just meeting you for the first time?.I know what I’d tell him. “My intentions are honorable. I’m going to take Marie out to dinner and a movie. I should have her home by midnight at the latest.”Marie will probably apologize for her father being overprotective once you two are back in your car, traveling and well outside of earshot.. the question you face here is… Is he a threat to my relationship with Marie?. or not?. only you can answer that.In my experience, fathers do tend to be a little more protective of their daughters then their sons but remember that he doesn’t know you and he has no idea whatsoever of your plans or intentions towards ‘his’ daughter…I recommend you treat this question the way you would take a drivers exam or a blood test, take it seriously… but like others have said, its all in context but no matter what, don’t take this question lightly. Its a provocative question and should be treated as such.Shep

I'm thinking of naming my daughter Bobbalyn. What do you think of it?

I am not a fan of 'Bobbalyn'. My first thought was 'Boba Fett' the bounty hunter from 'Star Wars'.It also sounds like 'bobbling' or ' bubbling', or 'bobbing along'. "Bobbalong Cassidy", like "Hopalong Cassidy".Maybe you could break it up with a another syllable such as: 'Bobbie-Raelyn', or 'BobbieRae Lyn. I think 'Bobba' is the problem bit.
