What Do You Think Of Nature

What do you think about nature?

I guess almost everyone doesn't care anymore about nature because we never lived in it and don't realize anymore how important it is. Do we really want this becoming a p*ssie and live in a boring world with too much humans while animals are dieing behind our back? Humans always want to be the smart*ss they always have looked into the future without looking at the daily life (yea i know im a friggen human too) I have 2 very close vriends that love nature like any other thing. That's all? From every person i know those are the only 2 who really care about it? But yea, i don't think you should be worrying about it you guys should have a hard life too. I think about it every day. I mean i'm not that kinda guy that's trying to keep the environment clean. It's that damn factories fault. But theyre also humans who can't help they are less smarter in learning then other people theyre better in other things like building factories. You can't blame anyone of it? Is this fking life or is God just playing with me? I don't even know if that damn 'God' exist. I've been through a depression of 3 years and im still not cured 'completely' out of it. I had a sick mind i was only thinking about killing people that don't like nature. They can't help it they never have seen a real bear. But why the f*ck is nobody caring about it except me and some other people? Now im just asking life questions right? Cause im a friggen human... Maybe all i want is just a little more adventure in my life like sitting a whole fking day at school->come home->eat->make homework->chat with friends->and go to bad for the rest of my life? the only things that's going to change is that im probarly going to have a job and that homework is cleaning the house or whatever (yes im a dude). I don't even know if im gonne get a girlfriend. I don't even know if im not gonne suicide this year, this month, this week or even this day. You would have in your mind that im just a sad pathetic person. Aren't we all? Know you have red my anger about this world... Do you like nature?

What in nature do you think is beautiful?

What in nature do I think is beautiful?

The way the sun glints through the trees,
The birds that sing on high,
The stirring of a gentle breeze,
The still of the night sky.

The roaring power of the sea,
The swaying of the grass,
The looming greatness of the tree,
The crisp air when rains pass.

The gentle crackle of the flame,
The stillness of the shore,
When I hear nature call my name,
This I love, and more.

What do you think of Natural Burial?

Wow. Thanks for showing me that wiki link. I strongly feel that I want my body to rot naturally and I want to be buried in a shallow grave with a simple biodegradable coffin. Preferably a coffin made of recycled materials. I do NOT want to be embalmed. Embalming fluid turns to the same chemical as bee-sting toxin inside all your veins. I know I won't feel it, but that's nasty!

I was told that law requires embalming, but your link says otherwise. Perhaps I should look into it.

As an atheist, I think that the best way to die is to go back to nature. Plant a tree on top of me, and I will become part of every leaf and twig. The sun will shine on me and the breezes will caress me.

Of course my sentient mind will no longer exist. But my atoms will be reused by nature, and that's good enough for me.

What do you think is the true nature of thoughts?

Language is the true nature of thought.Thought is just modeling the world, nothing more, nothing less. The brain has a fundamental capacity to analyze your environment, deduce patterns, and make predictions. That’s basically its function. So when an animal has a goal to achieve, the brain runs little experiments to try and predict the best course of action based on its existing model of the world. That’s thinking. Animals think, too. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t be able to try anything new in a deliberate way, and the only deviation of their current behavior from past behavior would be random, like in natural selection. But it’s not random, they are quite smart in how they try different things. So they think. But they don’t have language, so they don’t think in words. We do have language, so when we try and analyze a situation, words pop up in consciousness. Thought is, strictly speaking, only needed when you learn something new or try to solve a problem you didn’t solve before. For example, when you drive a car, you don’t think about it at all, but when you were just learning to drive, you constantly thought about the next thing you would do. Driving behavior was new for you, and it’s not anymore - so you just drive and you can think of something else. Unfortunately this something else will probably be “you”.You see, what I said before only applies to thought about your environment. Self-referential thought, that is, thinking about yourself, your past, your future, your life, your social status, your successes and failures is a human phenomenon, and its nature comes from ego. It’s expressed as thought in language but underneath it there’s an imaginary entity of a social “you” which cannot be found in physical reality, and is ultimately made up by the mind. Animals don’t have that, which is why in the absence of physical danger they are always happy and content. Humans get lost in it, which is why they are restless in a never-ending pursuit of happiness which never comes. It is possible to get rid of it, and then it becomes possible to execute a familiar behavior like drive a car with no thought whatsoever (a still mind), but words still pop up when you have a problem to solve or learning something new.

Do you like nature? Why?

To me that's like asking, "do I like breathing."I love nature. First and foremost because I am a part of it. I feel that connection with all of it. All the life I see; I am related to it. All of it, from the trees and grass and flowers to the birds and ants and wombats. At some pont in the evolutionary tree we had a common ancestor. Beautiful! And the air we breath, the breeze we feel, the sun on our face, we have evolved to fit in with all that like a perfect glove. It is all part of who we are, how we came to be. I don't mind nature at its wildest either. The blazing thunder storm or crashing waves. Humbling to watch. Then there's the terrifying; the roaring bush fire or belting hurricane or tragic tsunami or earthquake. Reminders that we are small. Nature is timeless, we are not, either individually or as a species. The purest way to be reminded that life is precious and short is to simply watch nature from within it.

What is human nature?

Its probably the only thing you cannot really define in its entirety. However if you want to categorize it according to social and biological standards it is possible. It is basically a mix of brain hormones formed by past experiences. However, some people never learn even after having repeated the dame experience.A psychologist can go on and on forever but, you can use the apple example to get a simplistic idea of human nature. Imagine a personality is an apple with three parts:1. The skin- the part of a personality which is shown to random strangers and even those you meet regularly (the milkman and the gardener) How do you define someones skin? Is she basically pleasant and polite? Does she ignore you? Is she rude often?2. The flesh- This part is the part which most people close to you know. Hanging out or living with someone brings out another personality in you. And of course you behave differently with different people. The sum of all those various behaviors. Is it basically good or basically bad (bad and good being social definitions here)3. The core- most people don't know this part of your personality. What you really think. What you really feel. The entire complicated stew of emotions that brew up inside you. Does the stew stink? Or does it give out a pleasant aroma? With these three parts you can rate or define human nature in a simplistic manner as good-bad-good, good-good-bad, etc..Hope this helped, wish I had more time for other details..
