What Do You Think Of The Name Brennan For A Girl

Is Brennan a boy name or girl?

It can be either. Or a last name even. But I prefer it for a girl myself.

What do you think of the name Brennan for a boy?

I love it! It's been in my mind for a while now. It's very close to Brandon, which is what my middle son is named. We did consider Brennan, but i just loved Brandon so much. (he's 12 y/o now). 13 yrs ago when i was pregnant with Brandon, Brennan was considered very uncommon and i wasn't sure if i wanted a "trendy" name. now it's quite refreshing and modern.

I prefer it spelled Brennan. it's proper looking that way. I dont care for the -en- or -on- ending as it looks over done and a bit off.

-an- is not a girly spelling. some people tend to think As are feminine, yet you have to consider the context of the name. and -an- ending which is preceeded with a hard -br- sound is masculine to me, as it ends in the -n- sound and not the -ah- sound like it does in names like Brenna and Brianna.

to me the feminine version of Brennan would be Brenna. (which i love and have on my favs list as Brenna Catherine)

just because your cousin's middle is Brennan and she's a girl doesn't make it feminine. it makes it a boys name on a girl. period.

My cousin named my little 2nd cousin (she's 10 now) Mason. Does that name now appear feminine to me? Heck no!

:)

The name "Brennan": girl or boy?

a girls, i knew a girl called brennan she was nick named bree .

What do you think of the name Brennan for a girl?

It's pretty. I had a good friend named Brennan, it's unusual so she won't be one of 5 in her class!!
I love the name Channing too.
**AND for everyone saying it's a boy's name: everyone I know that knows this girl (Brennan) doesn't make fun of her. It's a beautiful name...it is one that could go both ways, but I think it's unique and almost sexy to have a name like that. My bestest friend a "boys" name. Cameron. She gets nothing but compliments.Just some FYI for everyone!!!!
...
I love unique names, there are too many Ashleys Maries and Elizabeths.....

What do you think of the name Briar Rose?

I am thinking about naming my daughter Briar to but I would be using Elizabeth as the middle name. I was also thinking about the name Brennyn. Yes I know like the boy name Brennan but I have met one girl in my life whose name was Brinnon pronounced like Brennan and I fell in love with it. Good Luck Honey!

Thoughts on the name Brennan?

Do you think that Brennan is to masculine to use for a girl name?? I have just been falling in love with this name for a girl and I love the nickname Bryn that could go with it. I don't think it is any different than naming a girl Noah or Ryan or something (I know a few girls with those names). But what are your thoughts??? (Btw I don't like the name Brenna or Brenda so please don't suggest things like that) Thanks for replying :)

Do you think that John Brennan is credible?

Ok, I admit it, I had to google his name. I don’t keep up with news like I used to, and I’m all the happier for it.Here’s the problem… we are way too over political these days. I used to be the same way. When I saw something I agreed with, it was “credible.” Something I didn’t agree with… that’s a little more shaky. For instance, a news story comes out with allegations of wrongdoing by a particular politician. We will decide how much to believe the story based on what political party they are with. If they are on my side, I’m immediately skeptical of the evidence, and question the credibility of the accusers. If it’s someone on the other side accused of wrongdoing, I figure “sure, they’ve probably done even worse and just haven’t gotten caught yet.”Now it’s even worse than it used to be. Now we have “fake news” out there. If there’s a news story we don’t like, we can completely dismiss it as fake.I’ve realized just in the past few years how bad this is getting, and how much I was sucked into all this BS. We’ve gone completely crazy. There is no rational thinking about anything political anymore. It’s far better to just ignore it all.

If you had a son, what names might you think of giving him and why?

So many names I find delightful from their meanings, sounds & their associations - from so many different sources - historical, legendary, mythical & literary characters, friends & realtives, of the list of names I’d consider for my theoretical son(s), here we go:Abraham, Agamemnon, Augustus, Aziz, Balthazar, Benedict, Benjamin, Bruno, Caleb, Casper, Charles, Clementine, Crispin, Cyprian, Cyrus, Damian, Dante, Dominic, Edward, Elijah, Erasmus, Ezra, Felix, Ferdinand (Ferdi for short) Giuseppe, Gregory, Guillermo, Gustav, Hugo, Isaac, Isaiah, Isidore, Ivan, Jasper, Jeremy, Joseph, Julious, Levi, Ludovic (Ludo for short) Magnus, Malachi, Maximillian, Oliver, Oscar, Quentin, Ragnar, Rameses, Raphael, Rollo, Samuel, Severin, Simeon, Sylvian, Tarquin, Thaddeus, Theodore, Ulrich, Valentine, William, Xavier, Yorick, Zachary, Zenon.I’d do my best to avoid the names of living relatives as to avoid confusion at family get togethers, as well as making sure that my son(s) would not have the same initials as me - so correspondence wouldn’t get confused, of the names I’ve chosen - they’re all quite unique & unlikely to have other boys of the same name in class with them.As far as middle names are concerned - well - I’ve given my list - I’d expect my partner to contribute as well - if their list is better - their names would get precedence - it is often quite common among Central Europeans to give the Father’s first name as a child’s middle name - as an example - if Aleksander Kuznetsov had a son Mikhail & a daughter Olga - his son’s full name would be Mikhail Aleksandrovitch Kuznetsov, his daughter would be Olga Aleksandrovna Kuznetsova - so that everyone knows whose children are whose if there are cousins with the same names.I’d do my best to avoid names that are too fashionable - as fashions change & someone being stuck with an unfashionable name could be ridiculed for it.I’d also do my best to avoid alliteration - I’d not want my son to have a name that would make him sound like a cartoon character or the villain in a Victorian novel.
