What Does Canada Have To Offer The World Besides Canadian Bacon. I Mean Mexico For Example Has

Being Indian, I wonder what Americans and British people eat daily? Do they eat Indian foods like rice, roti, etc.?

As others mentioned, food in the U.S. is quite diverse.Rice is not typically served daily (this depends on the family) but it may be eaten more than once a week. We often include a starch as part of the meal and this would usually be rice, pasta or potatoes. Potatoes in various forms from mashed, to baked to fried are very popular. You’ll find Roti in Indian restaurants but not in most homes. But we do serve a variety of bread products. We’ll buy (or make) loaves of bread that we might use to make sandwiches, or one may serve bread along with a meal. It is usually eaten with butter, or in some cases dipped in olive oil.We also eat flat breads such as Pita bread which has origins in the Middle East, and corn or flour tortillas which are common in Mexican cooking. When I was growing up dinner was usually meat with a starch and a vegetable. It could be steak with potatoes and green beans, pork chops with rice and a salad, ham with potatoes and apple sauce, chicken with rice and corn, beef in a sauce over noodles, etc. Sometimes there would also be bread, rolls and a salad. We also make one pot meals such as stews, in which you might have chunks of meat and potatoes with other root vegetables. Or you could make one with meat and beans and serve it over rice. The spices will vary. Some of the spices used in in Indian cooking are also used in Mexican cooking which is quite popular here. Our grocery stores have far more variety now than they did when I was little, so there is more variety to the things I cook. I might make lentil soup one day and Indonesian style fried rice the next. A few days later I might make spaghetti in a meat and tomato sauce. There really isn’t a typical American diet. We eat things that have origins from all over the world.

Why do Americans insult Canadians even though they are quite similar?

How could I possibly insult Canadians? I mean, sure, they wear funny hats with deedlie-bobs, eat the wrong kind of bacon, say “eh” all the time, and persist in giving their citizens quality health care without even having the grace to fail miserably at it so the whole world can finally agree on the superiority of unfettered free market capitalism in deciding who lives and who dies. But you have to forgive all that, once you realize that Canada has given the world the finest musicians ever to take the stage!Wait, no, wrong picture. I mean. . . the other finest musicians ever to take the stage!Well, shit, this isn’t helping, is it? How about. . . the other, other finest musicians ever to take the stage?Goddamnit, I think I just disproved my own point. Any nation that inflicts that upon the world deserves whatever abuse it gets. Nothing can make up for this. Trump was right to slap tariffs on the industry of any country that repays American friendship by giving us Nicke——wait, what?Fine, OK, but I still don’t think that makes up for—. . . OK, I take it all back now. I give up. Canada’s awesome. No more insults from this Yank.Well, fuck.Or should I say, Calisse de crisse de tabarnak!

How come we never hear about Canada in the US?

Well, to the US, Canada is a very small, stable country. Sure, Canada is the second largest country in the world when referring to area, but our population is only about 1/9th the USA.Then there's the fact that the Canadian economy might as well be a subset of the American economy. American trade with Canada counts for about 75% of Canadian exports and 67% of Canadian imports, but to America, Canada is only something like 16% of their trade. It's still America's biggest trading partner, but the level of importance is vastly different.Another thing to consider is that Canada is a fairly peaceful country, and hate speech is illegal here, so there's less radicalism. The sensationalist American media would much rather cover radical KKK members and milennials with their "heads up in the clouds" than the comparatively moderate debates of Canadian politics.Basically, very little of what happens in the relatively stable society of Canada could cause more shock than what happens in America. As far as I can tell, American media is more about bringing up unusual, shocking, or huge events, and not informing the people about their neighbors. So since Canada is so stable, less radical than America, and Canada is literally already more influenced by American power than their own will, there just isn't much point for Americans to talk about Canada. They would rather talk about much more populated countries, like Mexico, which has about 122 million people instead of Canada's 35 million.

Liberalism? Conservative? What do these really mean?

Wow...good job! Pretty much sums it up and yeah...prepare to be attacked with namecalling. I'm sure they are on their way!
