What Does He Mean To Me

When a guy is mean to you, does that mean he likes you?

When a guy is mean to you, does it mean he likes you?We are taught at a young age that if he is mean to you, he likes you. I never understood this saying, and it makes me mad thinking that it even matters if someone who is mean to you likes you. When I was in preschool, there was a boy named Charlie in my class. Charlie had millions of freckles, blazing red hair, and was around the same height as me. One day on the playground, he started chasing me. He had a tricycle and I only had my short legs to sprint away from him. I stopped running and closed my eyes, but before I knew it, he bit my left arm. I was shocked and confused for the rest of the day as to why this boy had the nerve to break the rules of keeping his hands to himself! That weekend, I trudged to the doors of a birthday party, whining to my mom that Charlie was going to be attending. She pulled me inside and there he sat in a small green beanbag eating pizza. I tried to avoid him by going into the bouncy house, but as I learned later, I would never be able to escape from this kid.He got two of his friends to stop eating and corner me in the bouncy house. I was completely freaked out. He called me some rude names, and then punched me right in the nose. It didn't hurt, but it was pretty shocking.I cried and ran out into my moms arms to ask, "Why is Charlie so mean to me!?"She replied with, "He likes you.”I was puzzled at why he acted as if he hated me, even though he liked me. To my horror, the next Monday morning he called me beautiful as I walked through the preschool doors. My mom was holding my hand and looked down at me to give a "I told you so” look. Super embarrassing, but he was also a five year old boy. People who are mature enough to like you, will not be mean to gain your attention because you are not in preschool where good attention is any attention.

What does he mean when he called me kiddo?

I started dating a guy a few weeks ago, and at first was wonderful. Very affectionate...saw him Wed and that was great, but he seems to be cooling off a bit. Then he emails me during the day, and in the last email, called me kiddo!! Now we're both 30, so I'm taking offense to that. Why would a guy you're dating call you that?

What does he mean when he says "You have me by the balls"?

It means that you are boosy and don't let hom do anything he wants without concequences

Guys~what does this mean? Does he like me or is he just being polite? How can I get him to like me?

I like this guy and I'm 13 and he's 14. I wrote a song and long story short some girls hooked him up w/ the lyrics and he thought it was good and he plays the guitar so he is gonna write music for it. I've noticed that sometimes he'll catch me looking at him and he'll look a little confused or give me a "what?" look and sometimes he'll walk away from his friends and turn and look at me and give me that confused look a gain and he is really nice. What does all this stuff mean? Does he like me? How can I get him to like me?

Why is he mean to me if he likes me?

I never really understood this. When I was in middle/high school and had crushes, I would always go out of my way to be extra nice to the guy and do him kind little favors. In middle school, though, this happened to me. A guy who very obviously had a crush on me teased me nonstop. I always took it to mean he was embarrassed to have romantic feelings. Like, “oh, I secretly like her and want to treat her in some outstanding way, but my friends will rag on me if I'm nice to a girl so I'll just be mean” seemed to be the mindset. It could also be an issue of negging. Take it away, Wikipedia:“Negging is a rhetorical strategy whereby a person makes a deliberate backhanded compliment or otherwise insulting remark to another person in order to undermine their confidence in a way that gains approval. The term was coined and prescribed by the pickup artist community.”I saw that a looooooot in high school. Basically, by breaking someone down, you make them desperate to earn your approval. It happens romantically plenty of times.I honestly think it's a red flag. A guy who is mature and confident will be upfront with his feelings and won't resort to childish games, you know? Right off the bat, you know he has trouble communicating his feelings. Part of what drew me to my boyfriend when we were 14 is that he liked me and he wasn't ashamed to let me know. It was so, so refreshing. Rare, but worth the wait!

My dad just called me dry, what does he mean?

Without context, it’s hard to say for sure. The two most obvious answers that come to mind are:You have a dry personality. This means you are overly serious, don’t have a sense of humour, and tend to be almost robotic and emotionless in your approach to life. To many people, this is an insult. Although, in all fairness, if you are intending to be serious and unemotional, it’s just a statement of fact. You have a dry sense of humour. This means that you like jokes that are delivered in a serious tone of voice, often clever or witty plays on words. (Both when you’re telling jokes and hearing/enjoying them yourself.) The British are generally considered to have a dry sense of humour, wherein much of the comedy is witticisms traded back and forth. This is simply a statement of the type of comedy you prefer, and isn’t an insult — to be honest, I’d take it as a compliment. But then I have a very dry sense of humour.

My boyfriend said he was going to poke me, what does this mean?

what a dirt bag for him to just come out and say he is going to do it .......... here to poke some one is to have sex with them but if he said he was going to put his hands in your pants then he wants to finger you (stick his fingers in your girl parts) but he went about this the wrong way what a jerk

What does he mean when he says, “you're important to me”, “I like the way you are”, and “I'm myself when I'm with you”?

Be careful! It means - he finds you are of some value to him for the time being. And as long as he finds this value, he will use romantic & sweet sounding words like these to make you feel good and special.Once this use & usefulness is no longer there, these words will cease to exist.Remember my dear - words mean nothing. They are for free. And they are worthless. Men use such flowery words when they want something from a woman. In my books - Actions mean everything. Words mean nothing. So never fall for sweet sounding romantically manipulative words - especially from a lover.Loy Machedo
