What Does It Mean If Someone Belongs To A Suit

QUESTION: What does it mean when someone told you "SUIT YOURSELF"?

Earlier, my Uncle texted me on my cell phone asking what I am doing that time. And I replied that I am reading St. Thomas Aquinas' Summa Theologiae, he replied in text saying "suit yourself".

What does that means?

If someone has an American flag lapel pin on their suit, does that mean he is associated w/ the US government?

i notice that the president wears such a badge and so do Senators.
One thing struck me on visits to USa and that is the number of private houses which have the stars and stripes outside. Anyone doing that in UK unless for special reasons is looked upon with some suspicion.

What does it mean if someone says you look like a "liberal college professor"?

LOL you’re serious right? Americans… I had professors at university that walked around in ripped jeans, a hawaian shirt on and dreadlocks. Another was always dressed in business suit minus ties ( he had an accident once where his tie nearly strangled him because it got stuck between something) Another professor looked like a grandmother type figure…I think you probably dresses with a tie and a business suit jacket. Kind of cool but still a bit after hours. oh and if you are wearing all black business suit the person that said “ liberal college professor” is dead wrong.. FBI agent would be more apt :) though i don’t think you want to be associated with the FBI with the recent developments….Point is be you dress like you want, hell once a year i throw on a kilt … just saying

If someone like Tony Stark created an iron man suit, could the government just take private technology from American citizens?

Granted, I'm sure he wouldn't patent the suit, but would he be legally required to give it to the United States government? It is his invention, is it not?

What does it mean when you see a man wearing a suit in your dream visiting you?

Hi, Morgan.

How you felt, and the details (scene, what happened, etc.) are important. Some symbols are consistent in meaning, but most have to be analyzed in context.

Of what you mention, being visited by someone is most reliable to me. That usually means the dreamer has just had some new situation (opportunity) come into their lives, or the dreamer is anticipating something new.

A man can represent another person or an aspect of the dreamer, so I can't give you much more on that.

A suit, though, generally points to power, accomplishment, wanting to be recognized for our accomplishments, and, of course, how we present ourselves to the world. The suit makes the man.

The color green (and I agree about the bad fashion sense) is important. Light green can point to the new (like spring green), and lush dark green to maturity -- both being related to natural growth. However, neon and nuclear greens are toxic, and should be taken as warning signs.

I hope that helped a bit. If you recall more, maybe make a new post.

What does it mean if a woman adjusts my tie and suit?

“What does it mean if a girl adjusts my tie and suit?”Grooming.Lee Ballentine could be right that this just means she cares enough to not make you look like a moron with a crooked tie, but nothing more. Like a mother wiping a child’s face before sending it to school. On the other hand, her actions could also be part of a biological process called Social grooming, which can mean several things, but often means caring about the other person in a various degrees, from ‘hey, I like you’ to ‘I really want to bump uglies with you’, but the degree of care cannot be interpreted from your meagre information.Plus, some people are more likely to touch other people than others. Not to mention that social grooming can also be a hierarchical thing, where you assert your dominance over another person by touching them.I had this once with a martial arts teacher who knew I was friendly with his new girlfriend and he wanted to assert himself, so he tried to embarrass me at a New Year’s Party his girlfriend invited me to. When I entered his house, he walked up to me and in full view of his friends greeted me with a kiss on the mouth. Little did he know that I cannot be embarrassed by inappropriate intimate behaviour, so I just grabbed his head and returned his kiss until he backed off.Anyhow, the way she adjusted your tie and suit might reveal how much she cares about you, and since you’re stingy on the exact details, you’ll have to make do with my answer and just ask her why.

What's the best response if someone calls you a "suit"?

Serious answer:"That it's generally not wise to judge a book by its cover."Suits (along with decorum, manners, cultural awareness, critical thinking, and communication skills) are the price of entry into professions that impact people outside your immediate social network.  You'll be exposed to people who don't know you personally but with whom you need to interact, develop mutual trust, and reach agreements. Dressing well is a sign of respect for those that you'll be meeting and working with.  (Of course, the self-absorbed dress for power, but their manners usually give them away.)Not so serious answer:"Indeed."

Can you be sued for calling someone a hoe?

You definitely can be sued and it is likely a judgment would be rendered against you. Calling a person a prostitute is done to insult them, so they can sue you for defamation. The First Amendment guarantees that the government can not prevent you from saying what you want, but does not protect you from being sued if what you said causes harm to another. If no one overheard what you said, then there really is no damage to the other person’s reputation, so they would not be able to collect anything from you in a civil suit. There would be no criminal proceedings.

What does the phrase "that suits you to a T" mean?

It is a perfect fit for you
