I had a dream about my little brother dying. What does it mean?
Usually to dream of a death is symbolic of the end of something (in your life or the brother's life.) It could be loss of a job, a friend, a home, quit smoking, a major change of views, became a christian, or any number of things. If you are very close to your brother, the dream is probably about something ending/beginning in his life. If you are not close, the dream is about you ending something. It could also be a death wish, depending on your relationship with him. Are you fighting? If you are prone to ESP, it could be a prophesy or health warning.

It depends a lot on how you view your brother. Were you feeling the loss? You had difficulty accepting his death? If so, your dream could mean you came to accepting his death i.e. coming to terms with reality.Grief affects us in stages. At first, we typically deny the loss. We wish they were not dead. In that stage, they appear in our dreams as alive and we find nothing abnormal. Interestingly, the dead person will not appear in your dreams for some weeks/months after they die.In the next stage, the dead person in the dream makes us wonder if they were not really dead.In the third stage dream setting, you do accept that they were dead and wonder in the dream how they were back alive.In some cases you see them die again indicating you are now completely accepting the reality.In course of time as your grief ebbs, they appear infrequently in your dreams.When they appear in your dreams in that final stage, they evoke no particular emotion in you.The process here is, dreams have a therapeutic effect. Dreams are our Soul knocking to get our attention. The subconscious mind undoubtedly speaks to us in symbols. That being said, your dream represents something ( place or situation) that is is dying or changing for the better. Is there a place, person or situation in your sisters life that needs changing? If so your dream is telling you what needs to change. Also consider the feeling you had during your dream which should tell you a lot as well. We’re you not terribly upset that she died ?( your feeling in the dream) Perhaps its a change coming that you consider positive. ( change always is good for us except we don’t want to embrace it).
