Not only because of the repressive taxes and regulations of California, but for a much simpler, and safer way of life. You can find an equally milder winter in Arizona, New Mexico, Southern Utah, and West Texas. Albuquerque is a growing town with job opportunities.Same with most places anywhere in Texas. California has the 3rd highest unemployment rate in the country, and jobs are almost non existent.
