you must first render the potent chemical out of the plant into the fat you will be using for the brownie recipe, either butter or oil. when making the extraction don't scorch it or you will burn off the potency. then strain it through a sieve to remove the plant matter because you don't want to eat that, save it though. what is left behind is the weed butter. use this in replace of butter in most baking and cooking recipes. bake a lower temps also. research other recipes besides brownies because... nighty night.
oh and you can use as much per batch as you want. you could even make a 2oz batch!
edible highs are a lot different than a smoke because it comes on slower, lasts longer, and if done right is most often accompanied by a significant body high ranging in intensity for several hours.

Do pot brownies make your house stink?

Will the oil have a smell while cooking?

Yes. The oil will not smell quite like weed, but it will smell similar. Be sure to ventilate.

. How long might the kitchen smell?

This depends on how much you ventilate.

. What can I do to minimize any smell?

This is a general cooking question. Imaging frying bacon in your kitchen with no windows open and no fan or hood on. I'll bet that if you leave your home and return a few hours later it will still smell like fried bacon grease. This is true of almost any cooking event. In general, when you are cooking, take care to ensure proper air flow and ventilation.

How do pot brownies smell?

How do pot brownies smell? It completely depends on how the cannabis is used in the recipe. I make a cannabis infused butter about once a month and store it in the refrigerator for use. While I usually make cookies rather than brownies, the theory is the same.My cookies (oatmeal with walnut and raisin) smell very weedy when baking but do not taste like weed. Hard to tell the difference between the canna butter cookies and regular butter cookies. Some people still make the mistake of mixing ground up bud into the flour or sugar and butter mixtures. This causes the brownies or cookies to have a more typical weed taste and they aren't particularly good. When medical marijuana first became legal in Oregon, I baked for a delivery service. Things were just getting going and there wasn’t a great deal of regulation…no one thought about brownies or cookies at first..it was all about the bud. After a couple of years, the law was modified and I quit baking as I had no way of actually testing the cookies so they could be labeled for sale. I still had a few people who called me directly, as they liked a particular cookie I made for several years. Now I notice there are no longer cookies available at my dispensary since it’s been bought by a larger co-op of dispensaries.

Okay let's tackle this question, I did some research and this is what I found. The Purpose of Eggs in baking.EGGS AS BINDERSIf eggs are binders in a recipe, it can be replaced with Arrowroot, Soy Lecithin, Flax-seed Mix, Pureed Fruits or Vegetables, Silken Tofu, Unflavored Vegetarian Gelatin Powder (agar agar). The ratio is, for every egg replaced, 1/4 cup of the substitute is used.EGGS AS LEAVENING AGENTSIf eggs are leavening agents, Buttermilk, Yogurt, Baking Soda, Commercial Egg Replacement Powder such as Ener-G can be used.EGGS FOR MOISTUREIf eggs are added for moisture, Fruit Juice, Milk, Water or Pureed Fruit can be used. The most common one for this is unsweetened applesauce.Egg Substitute in BrowniesEggs are mostly used in brownies as a binding agent. Some of the best substitutes for eggs in brownies will be 1/4th of a cup of pureed fruit (applesauce recipe, mashed bananas, pureed prune), pureed silken tofu, yogurt/buttermilk and flax egg.Check here for a list of eggless brownie recipes.Hope this is helpful.

Difference between weed and hash brownies?

Well first of all smoking weed has been proved to not be as harful as smoking cigarettes, but that aside if you eat weed brownies there is absolutly no damage done to your body unless of course you eat too many of them. But be prepared when you eat marijuana instead of smoking it, it creates a body high instead of a head high so you will feel sluggish and theres the possibility that you will feel like your body has stones weighing it down so start off with maybe half a brownie if its your first time ever.

Has anyone tried pot brownies in Amsterdam?

Given the prevalence of coffee shops in Amsterdam that sell pot brownies, I would say the answer to this must logically be yes, since otherwise they wouldn’t offer the brownies for very long, now would they?In other news, yes, I have had a pot brownie - in Amsterdam, circa 2003.The coffee shop proprietor advised me to eat half of the brownie. It was very large and extremely rich and chocolatey - for that reason alone, eating half the thing seemed like good advice.Photo creditThis was my breakfast and I devoured it standing on cobblestones with the sun on my face and tourists streaming past me chattering in a dozen languages. A cool breeze made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I was infused with the beauty of existence.Aside - for someone there primarily to get and stay stoned, experiencing Amsterdam can be a series of hopping from one coffee shop and restaurant to another.Start at the Bulldog, have a latte, buy some cannabis, and smoke up.Get back on the street and realize you really need some water.Stop at Green House for a bottle of water. Smoke up again since you feel weird sitting there with cannabis in your pocket without smoking some.Leave Green House, walk 100 feet and realize you have to pee.Stop in a restaurant and order a sandwich so you can use their restroom. Plus, you’ve got the munchies.Leave the restaurant and head for 420 Cafe so you can smoke up again now that you’ve eaten. Have an after-lunch coffee to keep you perky.Browse two boutiques before you realize you have to pee again.Start looking for someplace you can buy something to eat or drink so you can use their restroom.Buy a chocolate-cannabis milkshake because it’s on the frickin’ menu and you just have to try one.Repeat until 4am or so, then stagger back to your room so you can sleep a few hours before you start over.Back to our brownie…An hour after I ate that first half I didn’t feel high at all, so I ate the other half at a different coffee shop.Ten minutes later I puked all over their stairs. I was so stoned I couldn’t feel my extremities and when the coffee shop guy asked if I was okay, all I could say was, “Guh.” I gave him five Euro and stumbled back onto the sidewalk in search of fresh air.I spent the next ten hours blasted out of my gourd. It was really a stronger buzz, for a while there, than the day I spent wandering around the city munching on psilocybin mushrooms.Watch out - if they say to eat half, you might want to listen!

Bad reaction to marijuana brownies?

I ate a pot brownie, and about 3 hours later started getting really light headed and my heart started racing. Then my entire body felt like it was going numb, and I could barely string my words together. I could barely see or hear anything. I ate some food, and immediately afterward got so sick that I vomited multiple times and blacked out. My friends drove me home but I don't even remember riding in the car. When I got home I was completely out of it, threw up a few more times, and blacked out in the bathroom. People would try and talk to me but I felt like I couldn't make words come out of my mouth. I'm guessing this is not a normal reaction, is it likely that something was in the brownie besides weed? I didn't make them. I've smoked weed before but nothing like this has ever happened to me.

What would happen if a dog ate a weed brownie?

It actually happened (way back in the 80′s) that I took my dog to a birthday party of a stoner I knew…Someone fed the dog the exact same thing: weed cake.At first I didn’t notice anything at the party, the dog had fallen asleep somewhere, which didn’t seem uncommon.Only after leaving and walking back home the dog started running around, chasing imaginary rabbits and jumping over imaginary fences.I then occurred to me what had happened back at the party. Back home the dog fell asleep again and was back to normal the next morning. The dog was a small Dutch shepherd, female, weighing around 20 kgs, looked like this one:
