How do you get un-addicted to Xbox?

Is it bad for a small child to become obsessed with Xbox games?

Not as long as you put a limit how much he can play every day so he can do other mor important stuff but if you don’t put a limit it’s very bad for the kid because they get super addicted to video games and this could affect the child’s in the future maybe like he gets to focused on video games and doesn’t do his homework so as long as he has a limit like a hour or two he will be fine

What are your favorite Xbox 360 games?

I can think of three immediately, two of which are Xbox-exclusive:Mass Effect 2, but really both of the games that have been released thus far. If it doesn't win 2010 Game of the Year, at least in the Xbox category, I will be extremely disappointed. It is a perfect game, one of those sequels that kept all the good stuff from the original, got rid of the bad stuff (inventory management), and added better stuff, sort of like...Assassin's Creed 2. The first Assassin's Creed game got really boring really quickly, especially if you are an achievement whore like myself. AC2 got rid of the repetitive information-grabbing missions, kept the gorgeous graphics and enjoyable gameplay of the first game, and added fun side-questy things to do that made the game nearly perfect. (Though I have to admit, getting all 100 feathers was a pain, even with a walkthrough.)Halo 3. Still my favorite of the Halo series thus far (we'll see how much I like Reach), Halo 3 was, for about a year after it came out, the best-selling 360 game ever, and for good reason. The Halo series is responsible for the explosion in popularity of online multiplayer gameplay, the campaign finished the storyline of the trilogy in an excellent manner and the graphics are lovely. You get the best console stickers from this website.

Xbox 360 Games that are addicting, Have an engaging storyline, and around 20 bucks?

I thought Far Cry 3 was brilliant, i was hooked on it. The main story was fantastic and there's plenty of side quests and optional objectives to do (just free roaming the island kept me occupied for hours) Red Dead Redemption is another great choice if you haven't already got it. Again, it has lots of side missions and optional stuff to do. They are the two games that come to mind when thinking of addictive/deeply engaging games that i've played fairly recently. If i could erase these games from my mind so that i could replay them for the first time, i totally would.

What does a gamerscore do on an Xbox One?

I come from the Arcade Game Era, where you would pump quarters into a machine and go for a score high enough to inter your initials for everyone to see. Video game programmers capitalized on the feeling of accomplishment gamers got from having a top score. Making games more and more challenging for that #1 spot only got more lucrative as they increased how difficult it was to get there, but when you did… oh man, the feels!Achievements are the same idea: Jump through hoop ‘X’, get score ‘Y’ (or ‘G’). The harder the jump, the sweeter the feels of accomplishment. There's just something about the sound of that “plick” when you get that cheevo that releases almost an endorphin into your bloodstream. The reward is quite addicting, actually (take it from someone who currently has 221,520 Gamerscore). Yes, for a quick fix/cheap thrill some of these games just give the scores away, which is why Rare Diamond Achievements exist now; They are WAY more reputable!

My gaming addicted 16 year old son is mad at me for taking his Xbox One what should I do?

give it back to him. if he is the one that bought and paid for it himself, i suggest actually giving it back to him, because that can be considered petty theft in some states.gaming addicted, i recommend actually seeing if its a obsession or if hes really addicted. if you are taking it away because of bad grades, thats not a valid reason, because bad grades could mean a number of things, including lack of parental involvement in the childs education. if its because hes being disrespectful to you, or hes not eating or taking bathroom breaks, then simply put, you need to see why you son is addicted in the first place, and explore ways to bond with your son thats related to what he plays.if he plays simulation genre games, you might not go far, shooters like COD or battlefield, find the nearest airsoft or paintball shooting place and go in with him as father and son. find ways to bond with him, but don’t take the gaming away as its actually showing real world benefits in studies. if hes doing the gaming for social reasons, take him out to the local malt shop or restaurant, that gets a lot of local school foot traffic. (middle schoolers and high schoolers mainly) once you show him other things he can do, he won’t be addicted. take a look at what games he plays, shooters, simulators, whatever, you can go far with a lot of effort and playing the games that he likes to play, no matter how cringy they may seem to you.finally, i suggest seeing what real world benefits hes gained, do a simple cognitive test on him, and practice it monthly for a few months. if it shows improvement, its not the game.
