What Geographic Features Make Up Korea

Which geographic feature has had the greatest effect on population distribution in korea?

1.

China geography questions!?

1. Why would mountain ranges and plateaus make sea trade more popular than overland trade?
It is much more difficult to travel over mountainous areas than to sail around the southern part of Asia.

3. What countries are located on the peninsula northeast of China?
South Korea and North Korea

4. How large is China compared with other countries in Asia?
It is the largest country in Asia (with the exception of the Asian part of Russia) in terms of both area and population.

5. What two geographical reasons why governing a united China might be difficult.
Mountains and Deserts.

6. Give on reason why people living in Mongolia might have often attacked China?
China is a much richer country agriculturally and resource wise.

What is the geography of Japan?

Location:Japan consists of several thousands of islands, of which Honshu, Hokkaido, Kyushu and Shikoku are the four largest. Japan's closest neighbors are Korea, Russia and China. The Sea of Japan separates the Asian continent from the Japanese archipelago.Area:Japan's area is comparable to that of Germany or California. Japan's northernmost islands are located on a similar geographical latitude as Milan or Portland, while her southernmost islands are on a similar latitude as the Bahamas. More than 50% of the country is mountainous and covered by forests. Japan is politically structured into 8 regions and 47 prefectures.Population:The population of Japan is about 125,000,000, including approximately two million foreign residents. More than half of the non Japanese population is of Korean descent.Earthquakes and Volcanos:Because Japan is located in a region, where several continental plates meet, the country experiences frequent earthquakes. Please visit the special page about earthquakes. For the same reason, there are many volcanos in Japan. Japan's most famous volcano and highest mountain is Mt.Fuji.Climate:Due to the large North South extension of the country, the climate varies strongly in different regions. The climate in most of the major cities, including Tokyo, is temperate to subtropic and consists of four seasons. The winter is mild and the summer is hot and humid. There is a rainy season in early summer, and typhoons hit parts of the country every year during late summer. The climate of the northern island of Hokkaido and the Sea of Japan coast is colder, and snow falls in large amounts. In Okinawa, on the other hand, the mean temperature of January is a warm 17 degrees Celsius.

Why do some Indians look east asian? or have east asian features?

I answered a similar question to this.

Indians from Asia are (predominantly) Caucasoid, with infusions of Mongoloid in the East, and Australoid in the South. Although India has incredibly diverse racial types, populations genetics studies on them consistently find that they cluster with ''Caucasoid'' populations and are closer to Europeans and West Asians on genes/haplogroups than to East Asians. Indians have most of the Y-DNA and mtDNA haplogroups which are common to Europeans and West Asians. Also Oppenheimer and many others also believe that the Indian maternal genepool is ancestral to the European maternal genepool.

Indians are generally very distant to East Asians, Mongolians, and Africans. However, there are populations in the Eastern territories of India who are more similar to (Mongoloid) Asian on genes eg. Tibetans. DNA studies on Indian caste populations also show that the indigenous tribals/ scheduled tribes of the Indian subcontinent are more ''Asian'' on genes. However Indian caste populations (the vast majority) are predominantly Caucasoid, and that's why they are found to be closer to Caucasoids on populations genetics.

EDIT: @penguin, Indians are the same race as Europeans and Arabs, they share similar haplogroups, skeletons, and skulls, which indicate common racial & geographic origins.

What are the similarities between South Korea and India?

There are more deeper similarities between the 2 countries.Look up Kim Su Ro the first King of Korean Kingdom called Gaya. The name Gaya is a originally a place in India and currently still exists on the map. He married an Indian princess Heo Hwang Ok (chinese name) because she came through China. (If you want the details you look this up, summarizing to keep answer short.) Currently where Gaya used to exist is now called city of KimHae right next to Pusan. KimHae Kim and Heo clan’s all come from this blood line. Not to mention over 500 words of Tamil and current North and South Korean language are exactly same or similar sounding. Especially the word for mom and dad. Umma and Appa.If you were to really analyze the food, Koreans and Indians eat same kind of vegetables. To elaborate if an Indian person were currently living in Korea, out of the vegetables they offer at the supermarket they could make Indian food from scratch and vice versa.Another thing is in Korean modern language one way of making a sentence into a question is to add ka at the end of the sentence. In Hindi, you also add kya at the end of the sentence. Japan also adds ka at the end of sentence. Also Koreans eat Yut ( a traditional Korean snack ) interestingly enough you don’t find Yut anywhere else but you can find this in India.
