That's a horrible way to find your pet! I'm so sorry for your loss. If you found a bone sticking out of its neck, that's how it died. There is no sense getting an autopsy! Maybe your cat fell or tripped in the darkness. I know the saying that "cats always land on their feet," but it's not true. I'm sorry that your cat died this way!
