What Horror Movie Should I Watch

What horror movie should I watch?

Oooh we have similar taste, I can help you out here. First out of the movies you asked if they were good or not, 2,5, and 12 I loved. I thought 4 was stupid, but I have some friends who liked it. 11 was pretty creepy; it'll definitely give you a good scare. 13 and 7 were really bad; only watch that one if you like B-horror movies. Hostel Part 2 was better, but then again it was directed by Quentin Tarantino. The others I haven't seen in that list.

Movies that you should watch with brief descriptions:

Trick r Treat - this one is Halloween themed
The Faculty - aliens taking over a school
Dead Silence - ghost ventriloquist who steals your tongue (try to find the unrated version, much better)
Saw V - the best out of the Saw series in my opinion
Stay Alive - a video game that makes what happens in the game, happen in real life
Resident Evil - zombie scientists and mutant creatures
Playback - a murder that happened years ago is being repeated
Nine Dead - group of people are brought together and must figure out their connection or they'll die
Identity - a detective is trying to solve a murder case by speaking with a guy with multiple personalities

ALSO: Even though you said you don't like POV horrors (point-of-view horror movies), you should really give the film V/H/S a try one day. It's really good and one of my absolute favorites, but the reviews are split pretty down the middle. It is a horror story wrapped around five other stories featuring some pretty creative things not commonly used in horror films.

Most of the films listed are on Netflix Instant, so if you have an account, you can watch them right away. Enjoy!

Should I watch the horror movie REC in sub or dub?

Is the English dub bad or not? I don't want to ruin a great movie experience if the dub is bad. I am referring to the horror movie from 2007 not the anime series.

What horror movie franchise(s) should I watch?

Halloween and Texas Chainsaw have great opening movies, Texas in particular... ohmygod. Halloween has a good first movie but the other's aren't great. Friday the 13th is really good for 1-4. Evil Dead is... it's different. Don't go in expecting something scary, or even very good. It's Cabin in the Woods before Cabin in the Woods, but it pokes fun at the horror genre in the same way. The first and the second are the same film (Ash literally doesn't remember the events of the first, it's essentially a reboot). There are some really good stand alone slashers, It Follows for example is amazing once you've seen all the old ones (Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street and Friday) and understand their themes and conventions. Cabin in the Woods is the same but more with Evil Dead and Texas Chainsaw than the 'classic' slashers. Don't forget to check out the Scream tv show, Scream Queens and Slasher. But watch Texas Chainsaw, It Follows and Cabin in the Woods no matter what

I love horror stuff. What book or movie should I watch?

If you are indeed a true horror fan you must watch all of these. (The original) Nightmare on Elm Street. (The original) Friday the 13th; there's eight of them. Those two sets are actually amazing even though they are quite old. The nightmare on Elm Street were the first of their kind. More recent titles include. When a stranger calls. (Thriller/Horror)Insidious 1& 2.Annabelle.The devil inside.Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones. (The first 3 are a waste of time).

What horror film should I watch?

The only horror movie I’ve ever seen is The Shining and that’s actually one of my favourite films (but that might be just because I love Jack Nicholson).

But right now I really feel like watching a horror film and have no idea which one so it’d be cool if somebody told me what their favourite horror film is.
