What I Can Replace Boiled Chicken

Can you boil chicken in the oven???

If you have an oven-proof pan with a lid -- or better yet a cast iron skillet with a lid, try using that. It's important to keep it covered. You can pre-heat your cooking liquid in the microwave (obviously, this isn't the preferred way to do this, but I'm trying to work around the broken stove issue), add seasonings (I usually use diced onion, celery, and carrots, fresh sage, salt and pepper) and your chicken.

Obviously check for done-ness, but I would say to put your oven at 350-375 for about an hour (if you're starting with preheated liquid.)

What would be great to do once the chicken is done is to make biscuits and drop them on top of your simmering chicken, bake covered for 10 minutes, and then uncovered until the tops get nice and golden. Yum. It will thicken the broth, too.

:) Happy cooking, and enjoy your chicken!

Is it safe to drink boiled chicken breast water ?

You're not going to kill all the bacteria (you'd need a pressure cooker and an autoclave) but the USDA recommends cooking chicken to 165 F, so if you go to that you should be alright. I've drank chicken broth before, and I'm still here. Make sure to boil for at least five minutes to get it all.

Will boiled chicken and rice help my dog lose more weight than dog food?

You need to take him on long walks/runs daily, rather than weekly. Get him as much exercise as possible.

Regular dog food is fine, just cut back on the amount you're giving him. Measure out his food according to optimum weight, rather than the weight he is, and give that to him in two meals. Since I'm not sure what a buhund is, or what the optimum weight is, I can't suggest what to cut back from his food. If he gets 2 cups a day, try 1 3/4ths cups. As well, the higher quality the food, the less they'll eat. My dog went from eating nearly 2 cups of garbage food a day to eating 3/4ths a cup of a more expensive brand(small dog, he's on Taste of the Wild right now).

Do NOT give him any treats, whatsoever. These are mostly loaded up with sugars and help add to obesity. For something to chew on, give him a nylabone or kong or an unprocessed meat bone(I buy soup bones from the grocery store). Nothing basted, nothing processed, nothing rawhide. A chewer needs to chew, but you don't need to be giving them the equivalent of a bag of chips to control that need!

On the same note, no table scraps!! People food is notorious for packing the pounds onto a dog, as they need more of it to meet their nutritional needs. I cannot stress enough the benefit of a high quality dog food, as it meets the dog's nutritional needs quicker and fills them up with less.

Rice and broiled/boiled meats are good for a dog, but I don't think that's the best course of action for this dog. Rice/meat is generally used if the dog has an upset tummy, or digestive problems, and I don't know if it would be suitable for a weight loss program.

Ultimately, your vet will have the best answer. Most would be willing to advise on something so quick over the phone without a consulting fee. Good on you for rescuing this dog, and good on you for trying to make him healthy.

Cube chicken bouillon???

i think that the crushed bouillon works better than the cubes

What is better, boiled chicken or whey protein?

Let's get the great protein war started .I will give my answer according to Indian market and the protein supplement I use. I will give the pro and cons of both and my pic will be at the end.Any answer is just my own opinion and it's fine if you deffer. Let's get started.BOILED CHICKEN - this is the heart throb of every bodybuilder.Pros - if you take breast you will be getting somewhere 22gm of protein per 100 GM of cocked meat. That's high quantity and and very few amount of fats and carbs. I get chicken breast for Rs 40 for 200 GM of raw chicken.Cons - if you take broiler chicken that is harmful for long-term use. They are given a dearth of hormones and antibiotics which may cause problems. Secondly the organic breeds are too pricy. Third i don't like boiled chicken .Its taste is not for me.WHEY PROTEIN -pros- this is the king of proteins. One scoop of whey gives some where from 18 to 25 gram of protein. Its a great convinence . Add a scoop in water and gulp it done. As simple as that.Cons- supplement market is a unregulated sector . You don't know what is in that power. You don't know if even what's written in the label is true or not. You may get a lot of additional filler material due to duplicacy . Whey protein is costly. Its damn costly.. so if you want to buy one get one from reputed source and when it is on sell.FINAL VEEDICT - why not have both if you can afford.else look from some veg sources of protein . You need to understand that chicken is not the only source of protein and whey protein is a supplement . It cannot replace whole food. So decide according to your taste.Hope it helped.

I feed my small dog a diet of boiled chicken, chicken stock, and egg. Should I add anything else to his diet?

Those are all good things to feed, but not a nutritionally complete diet for your dog. I agree fully with the other Replies. Most good, high-quality commercial dog foods meet a dog’s complete nutritional needs; all of them list, by law, ingredients and percentages of fat, protein, water, “filler,” etc. on the package label. Some of the most expensive ones make preposterous and unjustified claims for their nutritional superiority. The only food or treat, or toy, that I never allowed either of my Dachshunds to put in their mouths was anything that—usually in very small print on the package—said Made in China. Only because products imported from there (including children’s toys sold here in the U.S.) have been caught and shown, again and again, to contain, literally, poison of one kind or another.Again, read the other Replies about feeding your dog; I agree with them.

Why is boiled chicken recommend for body builders? Do we need to drink water post the boiling process of the chicken, as boiled chicken water has protein in it?

Whether building muscle or burning fat, one nutrient that you can never cut out of your diet is protein.as the saying by numerous bodybuilders goes: “Bodybuilding without chicken would be like bodybuilding without dumbbells. It's hard to even imagine.”It's not necessary to drink the boiled chicken water and you certainly don't need it after having the boiled chicken, but there's no harm in doing so either, if you'd added the seasoning right before boiling it for it to taste good.
