What Is A Good Laptop To Get

Is HP a good laptop brand?

Well, if it were between Dell and HP, I would buy HP, hands down, no question.

Dell's are actually the worst brand when purchased Mass Produced, if you drove down to Walmart, and bought a Dell computer in a box, it wouldn't last over a year without one problem. When they make the same thing over and over again without one change, quality drops, hence why you can find a $700 computer alone for $600 with a Monitor, Keyboard, and mouse included, as long as it is in the box...

As for HP, I haven't heard one bad thing about them. Of course, if you buy them in the box too then you're destined to have a problem, it doesn't matter how much you baby it, it will malfunction internally.

I have people in my family who own HP, and haven't had one problem with it yet, and it did come out of the box... I own a Sony Vaio at the moment, so I can't give upfront experience with HP, but I am in the market for a second Laptop, and one that can handle a few games, HP is my primary choice. Dell is my secondary, HP gives you a better deal, tons of free Hard Drive, RAM, etc. Upgrades when you buy them off of the site and have them shipped.

So, I shared my knowledge, don't let it make-or-break your decision overall, but just note, that someone warned you, if you go with Dell for some odd reason, then it will probably fail you, I promise you HP will last you longer, looking over the parts in an HP, they are better built and use better parts than a Dell. If you looked at the 17R by Dell (Base Model), and the G7T by HP (Base Model), you can see you get more with an HP.

I Hope I Helped! Make a wise decision

What is a good laptop for under $330?

What is a good laptop for Minecraft?

I have never played minecraft so I dont know how thirsty it will be on GPU. I have seen pictures of it and i suspect it will probably need the same requirement as Runescape or World of Warcraft.

When buying a laptop be sure to buy one that has 2.6 ghz processor or better, I would go with an intel i5 or better. Some i5s and i7 processors have a turbo boost like 2.4ghz but Turbo boost up to 3.4 ghz this would be excellent for any game because the processor is the main component to the computers speed, how much it can process at one time, more processor = faster programs. Next thing you should look out for is Ram, 4Gb or better would be good Minecraft, what the Ram is, is basically how much virtual memory you have. For example if you had 1gb of ram your computer could only process 1gb of uploading downloading and general pc use. Once you get to the end of your ram your computer dips into your hard drive To get the memory, Thus making the computer work harder for the ram and inevitably making the computer slow at times and full of lag. Next you should look out for a good graphics card, now graphics cards are very important. Whether you go for Nvidia or AMD is entirely up to you but it is like holden and ford theres not much difference. I would go with Nvidia because they have been around longer and they are (i think) more reliable. in the graphics card you should look out for memory and level. There are so many and it is complicated. But look out for Nvidia (level) 590-650 and memory 1gb is fine but 2gb is good because you will want a good graphics card to play the games that come out in the future. The Graphics card controls the intensity of graphics you can run on your system, so if it can only just handle the game it will be a struggle for the computer to catch up, thus increasing "lag" or 'ping'.

Ontop of all those make sure the screen is HD and you are ready to go.

I didnt want to confuse you by using computer geek language, its like a doctor can talk complete nonsense to a patient and they can have no idea what theyre really saying.

Hope this helps you and trust me it is such a pleasure to play on a computer with no lag!

What's a good laptop for college?

I'm thinking about getting the Dell XPS 15 9560. Whatever laptop I want to get will likely be the only laptop I will use throughout my college education so I want it to last. I do play some games and this laptop seems to be able to play them. My parents suggest I get the newest MacBook but that's because seemingly everyone has a MacBook in college.

What is a good long-lasting laptop?

15″ Macbook Pro. I am still using my 2008 unibody 2.4 ghz Macbook Pro daily. Same battery, new larger hard drive, cpu and gpu fans replaced once (I have them manually set to high to minimize thermal damage).I replaced the seldomly-used optical drive with a secondary 1 TB hard drive for movie storage. No issues…no hick ups. ..just solid reliability.*My disclaimer is that I'm a computer repair technician so it's kind of like a mechanic owning a car…it might last forever.**Addendum*It's March 26th, 2018 and my 2008 unibody MacBook Pro is still my daily computer.10 years…. oh how I miss Steve Job's Apple.
