What Is A Great Quote To Say To Someone You Like

What are some great quotes to say to someone you like?

My latest favorite is:“It is easier to fool someone than convince them they’ve been fooled.” -Mark Twain.

What love quotes have you heard someone say that most people don't know about?

“The saddest thing about love Joe, is that not only it cannot last forever, but even the heartache is soon forgotten.”“Perhaps they were right putting love into books. Perhaps it could not live anywhere else.”“You don’t love because: you love despite; not for the virtues, but despite the faults.”“She was bored. She loved, had capacity to love, for love, to give and accept love. Only she tried twice and failed twice to find somebody not just strong enough to deserve it, earn it, match it, but even brave enough to accept it.”“She loved him not only in spite of but because he himself was incapable of love.”These are all quotes from works by William Faulkner. I like them because often times love gets put on this pedestal and amorized through hollywood, but Faulkner was very pragmatic in his notions of love, that to love is fleeting. It’s a big thunderous boom and flash of light and it’s gone, or sometimes it’s silent and painful, but one thing for sure love is not all rainbows and butterflies. Love is trying and often times calamatous. That is why I like Faulkner’s notion of love, it just seems far more applicable and tangible.

Do you like this quote I say online?

That's not the exact quote...it goes

"Rosa Parks sat so Martin Luther King, Jr. could walk. Martin Luther King, Jr. walked so Barack Obama could run. Barack Obama ran so our children could fly".

it's pretty cool though

How do you quote someone out loud? like in a speech?

Most of the answers so far have said to say "As the great so and so said, '...'" or something like that. Well, I'd recommend doing something like this. "[the quote].... Such are the words of the great so and so." Or, "[the quote]....So and so said that. And I believe he was right because..."

You might lose some of the power of the quote itself by saying something else before it. That's just my opinion. Good luck with your speech! :)

What does the quote, "If you don’t have something good to say about someone, come sit next to me"?

It's meant to be funny, since at the time it was said, people were very prim and proper about "if you don't have anything good to say about someone, don't say anything at all." By saying what she said, Ms. Longworth was making fun of snooty, overly-proper people, and admitting she liked a little juicy gossip now and then, and admired people who were open and fun-loving.

How do you politely tell someone to fuck off?

To quote Shakespeare"I do desire we may be better strangers."Like Sherlock"My good fellow, I believe we are done here."Super Honest"I will let you know when you matter"Sardonic Humor"Anyhow, I hope your day is as pleasant as you are."Like A Sir“Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries. Leave now before I taunt you for a second time.”Navigation "Just go be you somewhere other than here"Like Her Majesty"Please remove yourself from my presence"My Approach"I no longer wish to speak to you"

Help plz!:( can u explain this quote from emerson ?

When you do or say something that brings happiness to another person the joy on that person's face will cause you to feel good as well.
Happiness often springs forth from the sweet fragrance of a kind deed.
For example, when I bake my husband's favorite dessert and I see the joy it brings him my heart becomes filled with happiness simply because I was able to make him happy. The perfume of happiness that I poured into his life has sprinkled itself onto me because seeing him happy always makes me happy too.
