What Is A Pretty Middle Name For My Baby Girl That Goes Well With Reyhan

How do you pronounce the name Reyhan?

My baby boy is due in 3 more weeks and I'm absolutely stuck when it comes to finding a cute middle name of African or Arabic origin. I've been considering Reyhan for some time but cannot find how to pronounce it anywhere! Can anyone send me some phonetics or links? I really need to know if it's gonna clash with Armand, his first name. Also any African names you can suggest with a religious meaning would be appreciated. Thanks!

Why do Indonesian Muslims use Hindu names?

My university is the oldest Islamic University in Southeast Asia and it has a 1000-year-old Hindu Temple located within the campus, next to the grand mosque. Despite Islam being our religion, Hinduism is part of our history and some of it already absorbed into our cultures, one of it is names, language as well. Especially for Javanese, we love Mahabrata and Ramayana puppet show so much, average Indonesian also do not know if those are part of Hinduism.I have just learned that that my sister, nieces, nephews, uncles, aunties, lecturers, teachers all have Sanskrit/Hindu names.Notable Indonesian Muslim who have Hindu namesSri Mulyani Indrawati (Minister of Finance, former director of world bank)General Gatot Nurmantyo (Gatotkach) Former Commander of the Armed Forces

My wife and I are from a Hindu family, but we love a Muslim name. Is it wrong if we name him with a Muslim name?

There is nothing called Muslim or Hindu name.First Prime Minister of India Jawaharlal(means Gems) Nehru had a Persian Name. Poets like Firaq Gorakhpuri - Wikipedia(Raghupati Sahai) taken Middle Eastern nomenclature. Ameer Chand Bahaar, Bhagwan Das Ejaz, Sohan Rahi, Indra Mohan Kaif, Deepak Qamar, Asha Prabhat, Inder Shabnam, Kamini Devi, Navroz Kotwal along with Amongst poets of Ghazal who are featured include PP Srivastava Rind, Pratpal Sngh Betab, Ganesh Bihari Tarz, Premi Romani, Khushbir Singh Shaad, Vijay Arun, Ishwar Dutt Anjum, Rajinder Nath Rahbar, Tilak Raj Paras, Atul Ajnabi, Harendra Giri Shaad, Om Prabhakar, Tilak Raj Paras, Aks Lucknowi, Ashshaq Kishtwari, Sardar Panchhi, Prem Bhandari, Vishal Khullar, Shailesh Wafa and Preeta Vajpayee amongst others were non-Muslim Urdu poets. There are several Middle Eastern Names like Rehan, Azad, Aman, Maryam, Mehk, Aisha, Simran, Esha, Kabir, Shirin etc are quite popular among nonMuslims. If no one objects a Hindu Boy named as Gautam, Tathagata, Buddhadeb etc(popular in Bengal) then why should be controversy with other names?

In Pride and Prejudice, why did the two eldest Bennet sisters turn out so much better than the others?

There are six girls in my family.  Two boys as well, but we'll ignore them.  So from my expirence here's how a family dynamic can shape girls into different types. When people ask my mother how she raised 8 kids, she says you raise the first two and they raise the rest.  The two eldest Bennet girls would have a lot of extra responsability placed on them at a young age.  It makes them mature and responsiable, (but also extremely bossy).  I've always felt a kinship with Mary, I too am a middle child, and it sucks, you get almost no attention.  On the one hand you are trying to copy your older sisters and be resposiable and mature, but you are so close to your younger sisters in age that they ridcule you for being stuffy.  Poor Mary's musical ambitons are a desperate plea for attention.  One of the things about being the younger children in a large family, is that disapline is almost always relaxed.  The other thing is because your elder sisters are so bloody bossy, you have an irrisitable urge to do exactly the opposite of what they tell you to do.  You also are totatlly free from responsability. The thing about the Bennett family is that we are meeting them at a time when the elder girls have matured into decent human beings.  But the younger girls haven't had a chance to grow up yet.  When my sisters went off to University.  The responsabilities they left behind fell to our shoulders and we started to grow up a bit.  Mary in time will learn to be subtler in trying to get attention.  Kitty will shoulder the burden of looking after her increasingly frail parents and mature into a very caring girl.  Lydia has a horriable future ahead of her, and she will turn into the image of Mrs Bennett, but that is that.editI just wanted to add that in a large family you tend to get allocated a role and grow into that role.  eg I was the know-it-all, another sister was the 'jock' another the 'rebellious' one. These roles kind of became self - fullfilling propecies when we were teenagers, it was only in our twenties, the Jock returned to college, the rebellious one starting running marathons and I realised that emotional itelligence was more important that trivia.

What actor or actress will you watch no matter how bad the ratings for the movie are?

KeanuReason: I just like the guy.HughReason: Man, this guy can act! I recently watched the Fountain. It just goes to show that critics and reviewers on the Internet are full of shit. Had I not come across it’s title track on Spotify, I would never have heard about this gem of a movie.Paresh RawalReason: His personal views on life, religious diversity and peace has earned my respect. If he trusts the producer/director enough to act for him, then I trust him enough to watch the movie.Aamir KhanReason: Personality aside, this man is a terrific actor. Every movie he has produced/directed has left me wanting more. I recently watched Dhobi Ghaat - case in point for the argument that movie reviews on the Internet are fermented horse crap.Tatsuya nakadaiReason: Anyone who has watched Kagemashu or Ran can attest to his performance.Toshiro MifuneReason: A legend. I need not say more. As a young teenager, he was the embodiment of Japan to me.Al PacinoReason: Not needed.
