What Is Better At Sleep Away Camp A Top Bunk Or Bottom And Give Reasons

Which is Better: Top or Bottom Bunk Beds?

Awesome! I'm going for my first time also this summer :D. I think the top bunk is the best. We rented a house one time that had bunk beds in it and I slept on the top. If you like the feeling of being closed in then you sleep on the bottom.

Hope this helps

Oh and I forgot one more detail. If you sleep on the bottom the person above you could move around and make a lot of noise during the night.

Does the top bunk bed or bottom bunk at a camp have the least amount of bugs? We will be in cabins so there tend to be bugs/spiders there.?

So I am going to a camp next week. (LDS girls camp) and we have cabins there with bunk beds and you get the option of top or bottom. Last year I chose top thinking there would be less bugs. My mom says bottom has less bugs and spiders and my dad said that tops are more bug free. I prefer top bunks but if bottom bunks have less bugs than I want thee bottom cause I hate bugs, especially spiders. (Also, All beds are against a wall. Also if you know of anyways to keep bugs away from my bed please let me know. (I am using bug spray, essenital oils, and dryer sheets as of now.) THANKS!

Which is Better? Top or Bottom Bunk Beds?

Depends.
If you like easy access to all of your things, to the bathroom in the middle of the night, and things of that sort, bottom is the way to go!
However, if you like privacy, the feeling of being "on top of the cabin", and lots of open room, the top is just perfect for your style!
Whatever you want, really. :)
Have fun!

Do you prefer to be on the top or the bottom when sleeping in a bunk bed? Why?

The first day I went to the dormitory of my college, a senior student guided me to this shabby room with 3 bunk beds. 6 girls, including me, were supposed to live there.3 girls were already there and already occupied 3 bottom beds.So I slept on the top for 4 years.I developed a habit grabbing the bed fence when sleeping. I got used to voices from below. Not bad. Just up and down the ladder with thin pijama and bare feet in chilly winter nights to bathroom was such a pain in the ass.I was jealous and curious about sleeping on the bottom. So one day I asked one of my roommies who slept on the bottom to exchange her bed with me, for one night. She nodded, but warned me 'Never ever kick the bedplate above you!'It was comfy and satisfying. No up and down. So convenient to fetch anything out of bed. No need to grab the fence. Feeling safe. I wish I could sleep on the bottom more nights... Then something came to my mind.'Never ever...'?You know, when somebody told you never ever to do something, you die for it.So I found a best timing nobody on my top bed. I raised my leg. Knock knock. Nothing happened.Hehehe...I raised my leg again.A heavy kick!Something dropped on my face.Actually... lots of things! They dropped on my face, shoulders, neck, as well as the bed I was sleeping in.They were quickly MOVING!!!Gyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!Cockroaches!Turned out they lived in the cracks of the bedboard. I 'knock-knock'ed them, then created an 'earthquake' to them which triggered a cockroach shower. So that's why I only sleep on the top of a bunk bed from then on.But when someone tells me 'never ever' to do something, I still die for it.Because nothing cures my stupidity.

IGC Camp Bunk Beds: Top or Bottom?

Okay, so I know I'm overcompensating for it, but in earlyJuly I am going to IGC (international gymnastics camp) for 3 weeks. This is my first year going and I would really like some help choosing top or bottom bunks. I went on a tour there so I know what the cabins look like. Anyone who has been there before please help me! This is a long time at a sleep away camp so I don't want to regret my desision. (BTW We live only about about 45 mins-60 mins away, so I'm assuming i will have 1st dibs) Thanks!

Do you prefer the top bunk or bottom bunk?

Top, so if it Breaks, I don't die.

Bunk bed poll: Top or bottom? And why?

Top bunk is #1 because: If the top bunk ever crashed through to the bottom bunk at least you'd still be on top of the situation. Sleeping in the top bunk protects you from being the recipient of golden showers from someone peeing the bed and/or having wet dreams yet you're still be able to experience sweet wet dreams of your own. The top bunk is warmer in the winter and the guard rail keeps your blankets from being kicked completely off your bed while you're sleeping so you don't wake up freezing. In the top bunk it's so nice to be able wake up and look at the weather outside the window while not even having to leave the comfort of your warm bed. Growing up I really loved my bunk beds and always loved sleeping in the top bunk the most (especially at summer camp)

Excuses to get the bottom bunk at camp?

Scared of heights.
Fell off- phobia of top bunk.
Hair got stuck in fan- phobia of top bunk.
Cannot climb ladder or any other assisted way of getting up.
Moves around a lot.
Goes to bathroom frequently during the night- wouldn't want to bother others.
All are very believable excuses! Hope you get the one you want :)
