Reflux causing shortness of breath??
If reflux were the cause of your shortness of breath, you would likely already be aware of it. Breathing in stomach contents causes intense coughing and burning. Call about the echocardiogram. See your doctor. The echocardiogram reports are important even if they are normal. You may have more tests to go. This sounds very important. I am unaware of "lung tests where you blow out the flames." You may need to have a spirometry test on your lungs to measure the dynamics of air flow through your bronchial tubes. Again, see your doctor before it gets still worse. Don't worry about exercize until your doctor recommends it. Find out if you are fit enough for exercize first. This could be dangerous in your condition.
What are the symptoms of acid reflux in babies?
Is spitting up always symptom? I had heard that acid reflux babies have projectile vomitting and spitting up. My 3 mth old son is very fussy much of the day and will spit up, but no more than your average baby does. I've always just been assuming its colic, but I've tried all the popular colic remedies and nothing seems to help. So I've just been wondering if he could be having some reflux. He was also born 6 weeks early...

Omg thank you so much for the information. My panic attack came out of nowhere on vacation. I had had nothing to eat basically and drank heavily on an empty stomach(very stupid of me). I felt like I couldn't breathe while in a bar in Brazil out of nowhere. Was in my room for 2 days till my flight back due to this awful feeling everytime I would step out of my room. I went to the doctor they said it was anxiety and acid reflux. Stuffy nose came afterwards when I came back and started taking the Nexium but it gets worse in humid weather. I have always had anxiety attacks due whenever I was short of breath due to physical activity such as basketball. But never this bad. Also, sometimes when the AC hits me right int he face or a fan is going I feel like I am getting too much air and my nose is way too open(if that makes sense). Can GERD symptoms cause chest pain?
It may be, but a few things may need to be ruled out first. GERD can cause chest pain and is caused by diet (fried foods, acidic foods like spaghetti sauce and pizza), smoking, drinking pop, obesity and inactivity. Does your throat get hoarse? Does eating make the pain better or worse? Also, if this hasn't been done already you may want to get a test for H. Pylori, a bacteria that causes ulcers.
Gerd symptoms?
My mom has been having "GERD like symptoms" and been on GERD medications for sometime now. Recently went back to the Mayo clinic in Arizona and had some tests done and later to find out that the food in her stomach doesn't digest as quickly so it causes GERD like symptoms and I am wondering is there any thing we can do besides have her take Doperimdome. My mom is thinking of taking prune juice. WIll it help?
