What Is Cuttings Dryer

Dryer keeps cutting off?

If all you have to do to restart it is wait a while and turn it back on, the motor is overheating. This is ussually caused by lint build-up inside the cabinet. First, unplug the dryer, then remove the front panel( depending on the brand & age, this could read "lower front panel".) Take your vaccum cleaner and use the hose to clean as much lint out as you can. try to reach back to the motor with your hand and try to wipe any & all lint off the motor. I suggest your hand because if you use anything else there is a chance of damaging the motor. Put it back together, and try it again. If it still cuts off, a new motor is indicated. Also, you really should vent a dryer to keep this from happening. They make a waterbath kit for interior wall dryers that keeps the lint from going everywhere. You can get one at most hardware stores....

Tumble dryer keeps cutting out?

Dust and lint shorting out the heating element, or the motor if clogged with lint will draw too much power. More likely its a short on the element tho. Dont leave it running when your not home coz youll probably come home to a burnt house. Id get it repaired and cleaned or get a new one. Also check the lint trap.

If its not lint you may have a faulty motor. If it only happens when the dryer only is on then its a motor if it happens when other kitchen appliances are running then maybe an overload. If you have an ELCB (earth leakage circuit breaker) or an RCD (residual current device) protecting your kitchen power points then you need to find the problem via process of elimination. Plug the dryer into another power point with an extension lead in another part of the house or flat (hopefully you have more than one circuit for power points). If it still trips then defo a motor or element problem. If not then its a problem with an appliance or an overload and youll need to be selective about what you use when the dryer is running. Im still going with motor or element fault tho.

I have a kenmore dryer that is not heating and not cutting off at the end of the cycle?

If it stopped heating you need a new heating filament. Unplug the dryer, take off the back and you will find the heating element. replace it for 15.00
If its not cutting off you need a new timer.

Find the serial number to your dryer and do a search to find the hand book or just order the part with your serial number.

Clothes dryer keeps shutting off?

Your problem is most likely in the timer or in the motor. The motor may be over heating and causing the dryer to stop and not start until it has time to cool down some. If the timer is bad it will make it do weird things like this to. Make sure the door to the dryer is shut good and check the door when it shuts itself off. If the door isn't shut and locked, then the problem is in the locking part of the door. Could be any of these problems. Unless you are knowledgeable of the workings of the dryer, you may want to get a tec out and have the tec run down the problem and get it corrected for you.

Dryer cuts off after a few minutes. HELP?

Either something's putting too much drag on your motor causing it to overheat or the motor is shot. I'm having the same problem with an old Kenmore. The motor started getting noisy and now it won't run longer than 15 or 20 minutes. I checked the name plate on the motor and it says "thermally protected". I can hear a click after it sits for a few minutes and then the motor will start back up when I push the switch. There is a thermal cut-out switch inside the motor that opens when the motor gets too hot, shutting it off.

I have a whirlpool dryer that keeps on giving me a E1 code. What does this mean?

I have the exact same problem on my Duet. The post above about the thermistor and the resistance you should see at different ambient temps seems to be accurate. I removed the thermistor so that that part of the circuit is always open, and the E1 comes up 60 secs after starting the cycle.

I read on some forum a post by someone who simply cleaned and reinstalled the same thermistor and the problem went away. Here's hoping for the same results...

UPDATE: Take the top off the dryer and inside you'll find the "tech sheet." It has instructions for removing the front panel and locating the thermistor. I took the thermistor out and tested it with a ohm meter. Since it tested OK, I cleaned it up and put it back in. Now the dryer is working fine.

Good luck.

My dryer keeps cutting off after only running for 10 minutes. After a few min, I can dry again for 10. What is?

Sounds like your dryer is over heating. Try cleaning out the exhaust vent hose. That should clear up your problem.

There is always some lint that gets past the lint trap. On the back of the dryer there is a hose connected to it and sometimes you can get a blockage there.
1. Unplug the dryer.
2. The hose will be connected the the back of the dryer with a clamp. Remove the clamp and check the hose for blockages. Check inside the dryer where the hose connects.
3. Also check where the dryer exhausts your home to the outside, as this can get blocked up as well.
4. Reconnect all hoses and plug your dryer back in. This should correct the problem.

Check the lint filter after every load - clean it when it's showing any amount of lint...I've even cleaned it in the middle of drying a load of new towels or five yards of linen that I was washing before cutting & sewing. Some fabrics produce enough lint in one load to block the air flow through the filter.Never overload the dryer - it blocks the air flow inside the dryer drum and can cause the belt turning the drum to break - then you don't get any air flow as the drum isn't tumbling things - they're just sitting on the bottom of the drum and getting hot.The less water in the clothes when you put them in the dryer, the better - a little extra spinning in the washer means less time needed to get the remaining water out of the clothes in the dryer. If you're going to iron/press shirts or other garments or flat fabric for any reason, letting them come out of the dryer slightly dampish makes it easier, as the wrinkles will "steam" out even with a dry iron. Some wrinkles may actually hang out due to the weight of the garment once you hang it up - but don't put it away in the closet until it is dry. Mildew & mold will grow in a damp closet - I've had to clean up - never did figure out where the moisture came from...One or twice a year, get into the back of the dryer or under it and vacuum up the lint there and in the exhaust hose - it's a fire hazard AND it's keeping the hot, wet air in the dryer where it's not getting your clothes dry as fast as they could be.If you have a long exhaust hose under the house - check that it is straight instead of hanging in swags, water & lint in the swags can block the airflow, too. I found one that was hanging in deep loops and half of them were full enough of water that I wasn't sure if any air was reaching the exhaust vent (why the exhaust went to the back of the house when the dryer was against the front wall of the house, I do not know) - but rather than cut a hole through the wall (unknown to me if there was wiring or plumbing in there - but it could have been done easily when the house was being built) - we got metal venting and ran it straight (with a lot more wire supports to keep it straight) to the vent at the back of the house. The dryer started working better immediately.

Why does my hair dryer get hot and then stops working for a while?

that's because your hair dryer gets hot from the inside and there is something in there that turns it off when it reaches a heat limit...mine does the same thing and it was pretty expensive so i cant get a new one any time soon...i always get packs of ice and when i put the dryer down to do something with me hair i put the ice packs on it....also you could try to blow in an air conditioned room...because the room Temperature doesn't help at all!
good luck and i hope this helps!

Very, very diffrent , from what Ive seen :for white hair it's either simply pressing it and cutting it, or straight cutting it . Black people it's rewasing it with all these conditioners and (relaxer depending on the person) and then rewashing the relaxed out - and then having to dry it under the hair dryer- blow drying it and then putting it up - so you can press each section - then cutting it after all of that. It's a long process.
