I had a professor tell me that certain diseases are emerging these days because we have new methods of detection We are able to assess patients and test for diseases in more detail. Also, as we gain more knowledge and make antibiotics to fight certain bacteria, there are also antibiotic resistant bacteria and new strains emerging.
Larvae emerging from mice in my house... should I be concerned? Possible bot-flies?
Recently, my boyfriend and I moved into a house in which had just been renovated. Mice are now circulating through the house so we have set multiple mouse traps within the house. We have successfully captured a few but we were a little disturbed today to find a mouse dead in it's trap with a live squirming larvae beside it and another emerging from its bottom. I found a video on YouTube, in which the exact same thing had happened to another person.
