What is the most common method used to paint comic books?
Currently comic books are created digitally. This can mean that many books never even have an actual pencil stage - they are sketched on a Cintiq (a professional drawing computer) before being handed off to the coloring and lettering team for final processing.Common programs used will be Photoshop, Sketchbook Pro and Manga Studio.Prior to the digital age - Western comic books were often brush inked (if you ever try brush inking your own work - you realize, the inking was more impressive than the coloring) and then painted with watercolors.

Comic book shops will only give you 2-3 cents per book if they'll even take them. There's much more supply than demand on almost all books from 1980s on. Even $10 books aren't "worth" much nowadays. The "Mystery Incorporated" book is part of a series called "1963." It's from 1993 not 1963; it's Alan Moore doing a pastiche of Marvel Comics from 1963. Listed @ $2.50. "Mint" and "Gem Mint" is very very very high on the 0-10 scale, it's not just complete books. There really has to be zero defects. Most new comics right off the shelf aren't in that good condition. Use http://www.e-bigs.net/freetool.php to determine grades. Sell 'em at a garage sale for $1 apiece, that's probably more than you'd get from a store, and less hassle than ebay. Or post them on craigslist. EDIT: You might also have some books where there's a variant/"chase" cover, which is allegedly worth more. That may be why you're getting a listing for $2 one place and $10 somewhere else.

He also writes and illustrates Lil’ Gotham and Secret Hero Society, books that are big sellers at companies outside of just comic stores, like Costco and Wal-Mart. He won an Eisner in 2016 for best painter for his work on Descender.Sean Gordon Murphy, another artist who can write and who recently completed one of the best Batman runs of 2018 — Batman: White KnightLee Bermejo, who does incredibly realistic art. His style is instantly recognizable (I highly recommend Joker and Lex Luthor: Man of Steel as examples) and each of his characters look very different and distinct.Nicola Scott, her work on Wonder Woman, Teen Titans and Black Magick is breath-taking. One of the best artists.Rob Guillory: he has a unique, cartoonish style that makes the book Chew very recognizable and is currently writing and illustrating his own work, Farmhand. As well, more Black comic book artists need to be recognized for their incredible work!Noelle Stevenson: wrote and illustrated Nimona and is the creator behind the new look of She-Ra animated series:Russell Dauterman: his art is incredibly detailed and absolutely stunning! Check out his work on The Mighty Thor, and just revel in his Loki:Kate Beaton: hugely popular comic strip artist who started out doing web comics and has two published anthologies. Extremely funny and very insightful!Fiona Staples: her art is part of what draws many readers to the hugely popular Saga series.Valentine DeLandro is by far one of the most incredible artists as he consistently makes his characters look different from one another — they look like people you would see out on the streetRaina Telegemeir: her books (Smile, Drama, Baby Sitters Club) have been consistently on the NYT best seller lists and outsell most mainstream comics.
