There is no factual basis for any such assertion.POTUS wants to try to broker a deal between the disputing parties before the already volatile and violent ongoing conflict explodes.Netanyahu won't even enter the room and shake hands.And so the conflict continues, raising threats not only to Israel, but to the rest of the world, playing into the hands of those seeking power through conflict.I'm for locking the leaders in a room somewhere, letting nothing but food and water in, and not letting them out unless they have a deal or die in the process.
Why is Obama spending $ 750,000 for " recreation " for people who have sworn to kill us ?
This President is nuts! I want a Vote and my vote is NO! I do not want to spend my tax dollars for this insanity!! He screws our Veterans and plays footsie with our enemies. Like he shuns Canadian Oil and tells Israel they shouldn't protect themselves from a loon who has said he wanted to wipe them off the map. He apologizes to our enemies and kicks our allies. Sometimes being the so called better person can get you in big trouble especially if you play with fire. His foreign policies are going to get us bombed. Those countries only know strength and respect strength and he only shows weakness!

thanks to everyone an whoever would like to answer this question. i grow up in northen ierland still liveing here at the mo.an when i was in california the storys i was binging told.an coming from a whit country an all my friends being whit i didnt understan.i just got the sense that whit people avoide eny contact with black people.i actully got looks from both whit an black couse i wasnt walking with the limp.or my clouths fited me a wornt 3 sizes 2 big for me or that my pants wornt hanging of my ars.i fully awer that ther is black people that thinks like me.but it seems that thers more that think black people have it hard.an talking to white people is a no no. an all hated the police.said that they were picked on.all said that the gettos were made bad by whit people not giveing them a chance.an i was like 'what about the gangs.the drive bys?. i was told thats the only way for the black man to survive is to be in gangs.they cant get jobs.ect ect.

I don't understand. The same people who support Bush/McBush say "can't solve anything diplomatically with those people" yet aren't we fighting so they can have democracy? If we want them to have democracy shouldn't we act diplomatically? Isn't it worth talking if it could save lives, money and shed even a little peace? How do you solve problems with violence? We've been fighting for years, maybe its time we try something new. It won't happen over night, but neither has this war and it costs us so much more (lives, money, time!)

How do you react to the Obama Administration's "white paper" on its legal authority to order military action against Americans abroad?
The white paper puts us on a slippery slope, but it does two things that makes the slope somewhat less slick. It specifies the kinds of targets and it indicates that there is a process by which a decision as to the execution of the target is made. That process is not transparent, which is why the slippery part acquires its lack of friction. The real reason that a policy like this was created is because we are not officially at war with al-Qaida. When we are officially at war, we have a lot more lee way as to killing our enemy as we "know" who they are. In this case, we may know who our enemy is, but we don't have blanket authorization from congress to do anything about it. It may be impossible, from a logistical point of view, to apprehend the target and bring them in to stand against a jury of their peers. It is even less likely that the individual would voluntarily offer themselves up for prosecution to prove their innocence. So without the possibility of pursuing a course of due process, and in the face of a clear and present danger by those in a position of know, there are few or no alternatives.In my opinion, there needs to be a new law or set of laws and a procedure that is more transparent that accommodates this situation. The framers of the constitution could probably not imagine a situation where partisanship would allow an existential threat to the nation and its best interests to trump rationality, but that can of worms has for too long threatened the nation anyway. Regardless, new legislation should be passed to clarify the definition of an enemy when not engaged in out right war, and the process by which that enemy, if a citizen of the nation, be held accountable.
Obama may close down Guatanamo, how can people be against him doing this?
uh...they didn't just round up 7-11 owners and toss them in there. Most are enemy combatants who were pulled of the battlefields of this war of terrorists; and they belong there.
