What Is One Of The Nicest Things Anyone Has Done For You

What is the nicest thing anyone has said or done when you were depressed?

First episodeI was going through a severe depressive episode, and back then I didn’t know what it was. I had no one who could give me advice or point me in the direction of a psychiatrist. I had a teacher of English whom I was attached to and deeply respected. She was the only person I felt safe opening up to, so I wrote her an email saying what I’d been feeling like. She replied the next morning, saying that I could always text/call her if I needed to. She also told me about her understanding of happiness - that it’s not to be found anywhere but inside the person themselves. I embarked on my journey to recovery and finding that happiness. I started psychotherapy. It wasn’t much.. just a reply. But I felt I wasn’t alone anymore.Second episodeThis time the depression was milder, I guess, but different. I found a treasure during this episode - a very dear friend. We met twice every week and spoke for 4..5 hours every time. I don’t where I’d be now if we hadn’t had those conversations. He was there for me, always. And he is now, too.

What is the nicest thing that someone has done for you that no one believes?

There are many instances like that.. One just happened last week.I was in a mosque in Singapore. I was performing my wudu or ablution they call it in English. I took out my watch and left it on TOP of the tap . There is some space there. My watch was a gift & probably it’s worth is about $100 plus dollars . But it’s very nice Steel Gold Color watch. One of my Favourite to wear. After the ablution, I had forgotten to take my watch . I was in prayer hall waiting for the next prayer which is still about 10 minutes to go. Suddenly , a man approached me. He was Bangladeshi man. He said to me , Brother, I think ur watch u left it in the wudu area. I checked my hand immediately. Oh ya! yes it’s gold watch right , I asked? .. He said yes. .. He said it’s there, please go n take it . I thank him and he walked away. I went over to take my watch. It was still there.I was very impressed with this man’s Integrity and Honesty. If he wanted , he could have taken it . But he didn’t. It made me very happy that honest and trustworthy people are still near u. But the amazing thing is, when I was the taking wudu , I was the only one there… I don’t know how come this guy approach me straight away as if he knew it was mine . That’s something incredible. I thank Allah for this simple but yet great moment . May Allah bless him and his Family with Glad tidings and wealth.

What's the kindest thing anyone has done for someone you know?

The act of kindness is not only confined to the deeds done to the humans. 22 years and I have seen so many acts of kindness and compassion from people but the first person who popped up into my mind when I saw this question, is a junior of mine, Ayushi. What do we normally do when we find a stray dog on the street or when we find them waiving their tails looking at us, we normally give them a share of our food or biscuit or whatever we are eating. But here is a story of a girl, whose deed is far more kind and compassionate. It was just a normal day. College was over and as usual she was headed towards her home. She was around 50 yards from her home when she found a Puppy in a very weak condition as its mother had died and it was very small to feed itself. Also, other stray dogs were barking at the poor little thing. When she saw it, she rushed there, took it in her arms and brought it with herself home. It was a puppy only few days old.How it looked then,Now after a few months of care and love this is how it looks now,What goes around, comes around. She gets all the love and attention she deserves and this little thing can make a day full of stress turn into a blissful evening when it greets you like this.Lots of love Tweetie and Cody.

What is the nicest thing someone has done for you and doesn't even know it?

When I was in middle and intermediate school, iPhones were becoming a big thing. Even a few years ago only adults had cellphone, but now all these pre-pubescent children were walking around connecting via instagram and snapchat. I felt sorely left out, even though inwardly I knew it wasn’t a big deal. I had such a hard time making friends though, and I somehow thought that maybe if I had a phone I’d do better.I was torn when my parents said no. My father failed to see the need for me—or anyone my age—having one. I knew there was little reason to get one, but I was desperate. I even thought, as a child with no allowance, I’d somehow manage to save up to it.When Christmas rolled around my mother convinced my dad to get me an iPhone 5C. They were known for awful battery life and falling apart quickly, but they were very cheap.I couldn’t believe I got the phone, and the whole time I thought it was my Dad who’d said no changing his mind. It was only years later I learned it was my mother who practically forced him to get me one.It didn’t drastically change my life or give me a million friends like I’d imagined, but it sure made me one happy kid on Christmas morning.Hope you enjoyed,-Felicity :)

What is the nicest thing anyone has ever gave you for no special reason?

I grew up in Indiana and have now returned to live in Indianapolis, so of course I’m a big Colts fan.During a rough stretch of life, my oldest son surprised me with a Bob Sanders’ jersey for our Sunday Colts game get togethers. Sanders was my all-time favorite Colts defensive player.I often wear it over at their house in the off-season, just to let him know it meant a lot and I love him.
