What Is Sepsis From Bone Infection

What is sepsis?

Sepsis is a serious medical condition, resulting from the immune response to a severe infection. Septicemia is sepsis of the bloodstream caused by bacteremia, which is the presence of bacteria in the bloodstream. The term septicemia is also used to refer to sepsis in general.

What is a ceptic infection and how do you get it?

i know a lady who got one in her bone joints and it crippled her she has been like that for a year drs. say maybe another year and she will walk. She doesnt understand how she got it , she is a diabetic.

Can sepsis break a newborn’s bones?

It depends on if the sepsis is from a bone infection.

Family member struck by cellulitis tonight, should I worry about complications/ sepsis?

becareful that she doesnt get it again and next time she gets a serious wound like that go to the doctor right away(god forbid there is a next time). even though i have a physical disability i am relatively healthy. but due to having wounds long term(can even happen after only one). i have developed serious bacteria in my body that i am colonized with for the rest of my life and can pop up anytime to a full infection. even when no wounds. I have had cellulitis many times and i know it can cause raging fevers and high blood pressure if it gets out of control. I now have MRSA and VRE these are two types of infectious bacteria that are resistant to commonly used antibiotics and cannot be cured. As there is nothing to rid my body of it. I have also suffered three osteomylitis(bone infections). when the drugs they gave couldnt fight the infection(which doesnt happen often anyway).had 3 amputations. I dont mean to tell you this to scare you only to inform you that this can get way out of hand if not properly treated. so please tell your family member to be careful and to treat as directed. Good luck!

What are the risks of having an infection that turns my finger green?

Seek the care of a physician.Basically, it depends. If it’s just a little pus turning a small area yellowish green, then it’s is probably not serious but should be treated with caution in case it gets worse. If if it’s something larger then a pencil eraser and the green is more like camo green, then that’s gangrene. That means the body part has died and is decomposing. That will require amputation and there’s a risk of sepsis (infection in the blood that may result in death). You’ll want to see a doctor to determine the severity of the issue and a get a plan for treatment.
