What's the difference between an English honours and BA in English?
I don't think that there exists such a thing as just BA ( English) . If it has a particular subject name attached to it , it becomes a degree in hons.BA (Engilsh) is an undgraduate level degree which a student can pursue from some universities in the county. ( Not all universities offer Hons degree but most of them do now.In BA (Pass) also called as just BA involves various subjects according to the chosen stream of humanities, sciences or arts. You have to take these subjects as prescribed by the college/university norms and regulations. Whereas in case of a BA (Hons) you specialise in a particular subject eg English ( then it's called BA hons(English) . An honours degree is usually of 4 years duration. The first year you are to study different subjects like in a BA (Pass) course and then for the next three years you study the subject of your specialisation eg English in this case ( as per your question) .Sometimes , depending on the college there are certain criteria for getting yourself eligible for an Hons degree like you might be required to score above a particular level 75% or above in a subject in your first year .Now that the graduation course has been divided in semesters ( it was not the case before in all the colleges ) , the requirements may have been altered accordingly.It all depends on the college where you are seeking admission in to and the streams as well.I hope my answer helps…

What the difference between B.A.S and B.S degree?
No it is not. It all depends on your degree program. If I am not mistaken, a BAS usually includes programs like engineering and computer science where a BS is awarded in programs like Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, or education.
Can I go for my bachelor's degree in a field different than what my Associates degree is?
My education was not a very good one and was with a community college that has had a lot of problems with most of the programs. I was required to take math, english, psychology, business and ethics, etc. as part of my graduation terms. That said I'm not for certain my credits would transfer as mentioned before about the school having problems but I'm looking into online schools for this degree and going to a campus only when required for labs and such.
