Will these benefit me as a police officer?

Serving in the military could help you. If you become a veteran with an honorable discharge, you would get extra points on civil service tests and preference for federal jobs. Some police departments that require applicants to have college will waive some or all of their college requirements for veterans. That won't matter if you have a college degree. Also, for different reasons, some people simply like to hire qualified veterans whenever they get the chance to. Getting a college degree could help you get hired by some police departments. Getting a college degree is one of the best things that you can do. Many departments require or prefer applicants to have college. Some departments pay their officers more if they have a degree. Having a degree could also help you get promoted during your career. Learning Spanish is a good idea. Learning a martial art wouldn't be a bad idea. Getting police officer jobs is becoming more and more competitive. Do whatever you can to make yourself the best candidate that you can. Don't do anything illegal, maintain a good reputation, keep a good driving record, don't get bad credit, improve all of your communication skills as much as possible, practice to improve your observation and memory skills, and become as physically fit as you can. How well you do on written tests and during interviews can be very important when trying to get police officer jobs. Make sure to prepare for any tests and interviews. Consider local, state, and federal jobs. Best of luck!

Will these courses [in grade11&12] help me become a lawyer in the future...? HELP, PLEASE:]?

Wow. Im really proud of you. When I was in 11th grade I wasn't thinking this particular about being a lawyer.

Here's the secret
Its not what you take but the grades you receive.

In 11th grade I thought I was going 2 be a doctor so I took lots of health and math courses. In the second semester of my senior year I decided I wanted to be a lawyer...TOO LATE!
Lol of course not. Because guess what? U can be a screw up in highschool AND college and still be a good lawyer. I had all failing/good grades in HS n kept an A average in undergrade school.

Secretary of state Colin Powell had a C average in college and turned out awesome

Just make sure you get into a good undergrauate school. And most importantly its not the name of the school you go to but what you take from it. If you want to be a lawyer but love the world (I noticed you have a tourism course) then excel in that area, maybe even take geography if that's what you're into. You can consider international law

The great part about a law guided career is u don't have to mold to fit the career better yet you can choose the branch of law that best defines you.
Sit back
Relax
And really contemplate what YOU want.
I have friends who never studied govt, history, or anything law related before law school. One of my friends was a freaking dance major then decided to go to law, crazy right? Not really she decided to do law that involves injuries like car crashes so her dance background made her very knowledgable about the human body, and muscles, and a lot of crap I know nothing of
On the other hand I knew a bio major that has a bio bachelors and went to law school. He went into legal patent law. the science field helped him tremendously as he discusses physics, and chemistry, and lots of technicals stuff as he's defending other peoples inventions.

Do what you LOVE

stop worrying

I know you can get into any university you want just by the determination you are presenting. If you have any law ???'s Please feel free 2 contact me if I don't know them I will find the answer for you

Stay gifted and analytical. You are presenting law like skills already

Do your thang!!! Future Lawyer

Do certificates from NPTEL courses hold any value?

NPTEL courses are awesome!I think I am in a perfect position to answer this as I am in my 4th year of B.Tech at IIT Delhi and have done several NPTEL courses.NPTEL courses are a great way to gain theoretical insight into a topic because the content of these courses are great. If you are interested in any topic, I would definitely recommend NPTEL because these are made by highly experienced professors of IIT’s. On an average there are 2 hours of course material per week and an assignment at the end. So the load is just about right. If you want certification, you need to pay Rs 1000 and score greater than 40% marks in assignment+exam. Is certificate valued? Well, I see it this way. When you pay for something, you value it more. Applying for certification results in more efforts from your side. In turn, you develop your understanding much better. For Ex :I ended up being the topper of Data Analytics course!I advise you to go through the course contents before registering for a course and see if it suits your needs. Be assured about the quality of content. If you want to discuss in detail connect at LinkedIn

Will these remedial courses hold me back from graduating community college?

Today, I took the Placement test and scored a 60 out of 120 in Math, 73 out of 120 in Reading and 6 out of 8 in English(No remedial classes for English)

Here are my remedial classes:

Math - MAT 090, MAT 091, MAT 092, Mat 102

Reading - RDG 091

English - ENG 101/No remedial classes

Taking the remedial classes is not what I'm worried about as long as it's beneficial to me. My biggest concern is if I'll still be able to graduate community college in two years and transfer to University while taking these remedial classes. If I have to take summer classes in order to graduate in 2 years, then It'll be a little difficult for me because I work at a job and train at a boxing gym but I will try to figure out how to fit them all in my schedule if I do need to take summer courses in order for me to finish in 2 years and transfer.

The classes at my community college won't start until Jan. 11th-13th so I still have time to consider retaking Reading and Math. What's suggestions do you guys have for me in this situation?
