I was late to Oceanography class once in college.I walked in, and this was a comparatively large class for my college, so there were like 50 people in the class. The professor didn’t know me personally.Maybe he was trying to make an example out of me; I don’t know. I walked in, and he stopped me at the door with the question, “You’re late. Why?”This was a 9am class. I got in at about 9:10 or something. So I was late, but not terribly so.Another somewhat-seemingly-unrelated fact is that I listen to The Who’s Quadrophenia album at least once a month. I have done it since I was a kid and my dad played it on his record player back in the day. The boss needs to know more details. I would suggest just being honest. If you have a good reason, just let your boss know. They will respect your honesty. If you really hate your job, just find a new one. But if you like your job but have a good reason……say something like…..I really like this job, but I have a good reason for being late. If you don't want to tell your boss the reason, then say something like��..it's embarrassing. But ultimately the truth, they will respect you.i actually have a medical problem. I look normal ( and my bosses expect everything). They would never suspect my medical problem and I'm too embarrassed to tell them. One of my bosses ( he does not have time to listen) but he cares enough or is smart enough to know I get tired. They expect a lot out of me but they know I Want to do it, but because of my medical problem I cannot do it all. One of my bosses, he suspects this because he is caring enough to know all the extra work is too much for one employee ( I mean he expects more and more but me in particular he knows because even though I did not tell him full the medical problem….I said something like I was going to work part time. Almost full time but never full. I have to tell him and his wife ( she is my other boss) about my medical problem one day. Because they do expect a lot, they do know I'm trying my best. Say something like how you really like your job, but something is keeping you from getting there ontime. But I would just suggest telling the truth, or if they don't care about the truth just say you like your job but something is preventing you from being ontime.
