What Is The Best Hobby In The Sunset At On Sunday

What are your hobbies?

I have very few hobbies, mostly because I have a propensity to be bored faster than you can imagine, and the attention span of a butterfly on crack.Three hobbies I’ve had for a long time now are:Reading booksI love reading books. I don’t really restrict myself to any one genre when it comes to reading. I read absolutely anything and possibly everything. I have once read the Oxford dictionary (but that’s another story for another time) for fun.DancingI’ve loved dancing ever since I was a little girl. I dance for fun at home. I also am a trained classical dancer in Bharathanatyam. In fact, dancing is probably one of the things dear to my heart.PhotographyI love taking photos, especially of the sunset. The sunset is really a beautiful thing to watch, and an even more beautiful thing to capture on a lens. What are your hobbies?Answered as part of the “Ask Me Anything” Session on 29/9/17

Should I take My hobby seriously?!?

You don't need a "professional" camera at this point in your hobby. Indeed, you might find an advanced camera with lots of things to control and a manual 200 pages thick to be very frustrating. You would benefit more from learning more about the CyberShot you already have. Although colorful, some of your images are not in focus, and the composition needs some work.

It really doesn't take much time to begin to learn the craft of photography. Even if you have no plans to become a professional photographer some day, your personal images will improve once you begin to learn and apply your new knowledge to your snapshots. Visit the library or bookstore and look for a beginner's guide. You don't have to learn it all at once. Whenever you have a few minutes, pick it up and examine one thing, ISO or aperture, perhaps. Read your camera manual to get the best from the camera you already have. Look at good images from magazines and sites like www.betterphoto.com, Kodak.com, and photo.net. Pay attention to the light and composition, that is, how the photo is arranged. What is the subject, and how did the photographer call attention to the subject? What is in focus? How close or far away? What was the point of view from the camera? These are all things to think about when viewing images, both your own and other people's. Then practice and keep learning as you go. Best wishes!
