Road Trips: What is the best spot for an overnight spot between Amarillo, TX and Denver, CO?
Trinidad has a Holiday Inn Express on the south end, which is good. On the budget side, their Super 8 on the north end is very well kept. Trinidad is a neat little city, with an emerging arts scene. Bella Luna Pizza downtown offers pizza cooked in a massive wood fired oven and excellent brews. The Mission at the Bell, also downtown, offers tasty TexMex fare in a pleasant setting. Staying in Trinidad will leave you with about a two to three hour drive to Denver, barring any huge accidents (frequent) blocking the interstate between Trinidad and Pueblo.The Walsenburg Motor Inn is clean but dated. You can get a good meal at Corine’s on Main. This stop won't do much to shorten the drive over staying in Trinidad.In Pueblo I like the Hampton Inn at the South end of town. It's clean and convenient. The Microtel next door is a good budget option. If you go to Pueblo, keep in mind that the Italian and Mexican heritage allows for many delicious dining choices so avoid the chains clustered along the interstate! It's also dotted with brew pubs and all that you'd expect from a regional city. I like the Cactus Flower for unfussy TexMex. From Pueblo, Denver is 90 minutes to two hour drive. Colorado Springs is the usual place for a bottleneck,and avoid rush hour - it's insane.
What do I need to know before moving to Eureka, CA?

One thing to do is if you are close enough spend a few days there and explore. Look at your job prospects what is the job security for your career. Look at what you can afford living expense wise. Apartments extra.I personally will not go back there to live I have better opportunities where I am at. Is it legal to sleep in your car in Colorado?
Yes it is. But many cities and towns in Colorado may not want you to sleep in their area overnight. Best place to do that are rest stops and designated overnight parking areas. Truckstops are also good places. In the mountains, there are many little areas you can find to sleep or even live in your car. Just expect to get visits from the law enforcemrnt community to either do welfare checks or let you know to move on. If they contact you, they will run a background check on you to ensure you are not wanted by the law. Most law enforcement agencies in Colorado are very courteous and helpful to transients. Listen to their direction and follow their order and you’ll get no problems from them. Walmart used to let people park in their parking lots at night, but now they usually won’t anymore. If you do find yourself near a Walmart, just go inside and have a chat with the store manager about your situation. More often than not, they will still let you. Just don’t panhandle there or be a nuisance, and show your thankfulness in a humble, honest and meaningful way. Also take precautions to keep yourself safe it’s very important no matter where you are.
