What Is The Best Tablet-pc For Collage. Where To Get The Best Deal.

Best tablet for college?

You simply cannot go wrong with Apple ipad. It is as good as the press clippings say. Apple has an App Store (applications) for your tablet. They have more than any other manufacturer by the thousands. What this means is that you can do the most with the ipad, bar none. The ipad2 is still getting the latest software upgrades. It is running ios7 which means the second generation ipad is now running the seventh generation software which is testament to purchasing a device that will last you well into the future and remain relevant. The ipad2 (second generation) rolled out in 2010 shortly after the original revolutionary ipad. The ipad air comes closest to what you expect in a tablet. Today it is the best that money can buy. Whatever you decide, stick with the brand. If you choose Apple stick with it. If you choose Android tablets i.e. Google's Nexus, Asus or a Windows tablet like Microsoft Surface stick with it. You will be sorely disappointed if you think that you can have the best of both worlds. The manufacturers will not allow them to play together nicely. They want you in their respective eco-systems. In either case you can do what you pretty much want and get what you want with a little patience. Apple is the way to go.

Which tablet is best for a college student?

Is Apple's etextbook selection from their book store that good?? Because the Kindle and Chegg have a lot of ebooks I can rent?
--Yes iBook store is great too but Amazon and chegg obviously have better options for readers

I know that Apple has a larger app store than Google however is that that much of a problem?
-- On Apple app store there are over 900k apps by now, whereas on Google play store it is over 700k apps

Yes Android is pretty much customizable making it the better option.

10" screen would be the best option.

Price is kinda a factor but not really at the same time. If the ipad is the best I dont mind buying it but if there is a comparable tablet for less I would be interested in buying that instead.
-- IMO the best tablet which would provide you all features in lesser price would be the Galaxy tab 3 10.1

See this comparison between the most popular tablet in market, would definitely be helpful:

iPad is the best option if you are willing to spend that much amount. Otherwise get the Galaxy tab 3 10.1, will do all in lower price.

Hope this was helpful!

Tablet or Laptop for College?

Well, you know, for college the best laptop is with the size 13.3 or 14 inches.
You can buy a Apple Macbook Pro or Air, but no need.
Acer have an awesome series of laptop called Timeline with 14 inches
Hp has a couple of good one too.
Dell, if you buy an 14 inches Inspiration one, its okay, but its kinda thick
Sony, on the inside, its okay, but the outside, it sucks
Tablet, are okay, but remember this: Tablets don't have that much space for you to install stuff on and save documents

Are tablet PCs great for college use?

It depends. I think the windows tablet pcs that run full windows should be fine.  Make sure you have a good processor and ram.  I'd get a full size keyboard and a mouse for when you're at home as well.  Maybe a full size monitor as well.   I say that because when you're at home or school doing a paper or research, you're not going to want to stay on the little screen or use your finger for doing hard core work.  You need a full featured office program too, Open Office or MS Office.  They will be difficult to use with your finger on a tablet screen. Here's another side of the story, if you will be in computers and doing developing like I do, then it's better to have an Apple Macbook Pro in my opinion.  Everything just works and the last few years all the best programs that make life easier seem to be on Apple.  It's definitely worth the extra money just for convenience.  Battery life is killer too, 9 to 11 hours.  Just super for a day of walking around the office and going to meetings.I'd still get an external monitor, a mouse (because not having a right mouse button is just cr*ppy), and maybe an external keyboard.  The Full size mac one is really nice.  I use that but I'm still looking for an old style "switch" keyboard that works with mac.  If anyone knows one, let me know :) Finally, I'll add, don't get an iPad as your tablet if you're thinking about it. An iPad is not a machine you can do any real work on.  It's great for consuming data but it's not great for producing. I have an iPad and I've used an external bluetooth keyboard with it as well as microsoft office online which is free, most ppl don't know that, but the screen was too small and typing with a small keyboard wasn't much fun either.  Although I think everyone should have an iPad if they need it and can use it .... maybe for reading or relaxing on the couch or in bed, you're going to end up buying a real computer as well when the iPad can't cut it.  I'm on my macbook pro right now, this would be hell to answer on the ipad.Anyway, I hope this helps, let me know if I left anything else out which you might be thinking about.

What are some good tablet laptops for college use that come at a reasonable price?

Hi,There are a few options out there, depending on budget and needs. All the convertible laptops in my list have Stylus support, so you can take hand written notes on time.Lenovo Yoga laptops have traditionally been rather good convertible laptops. Microsoft Surface is also a decent choice, though Surface laptops are impossible to repair out of warranty
