How do I start a zombie apocalypse story?
Okay, so I am writing, well, trying, to write a zombie apocalypse story, but I can't seem to figure out how to get it started. I have no idea how to begin/open the story. I mean, I am practically a zombie expert. I own almost every zombie movie known, and I love zombies, but I want to write my own. I have the characters down, to an extent, but I need a beginning, a good beginning, that will catch a reader's attention. I have yet to even come close to a published work, but I'm trying to work toward that goal. I'm at a serious writer's block and it's frustrating the heck out of me. Can somebody help me? Give me ideas?
What are some tips for my zombie apocalypse story?
Worst thing in my mind is --> Group automatically sees as a treat anyone with a gun and kills them if they don`t surrender to them. But when this group meets larger group and that Larger group thinks they are treat. Large group becomes Evil.Don`t spend much time in how it started no matter what you will think there will be plenty of reasons why it wouldn't work.Good part would be how few strangers meet by running from zombies to building safehouse meet more people and at the end build first town :P
Just for fun: how would you start a zombie apocalypse story?
I lied in the sleeping bag looking up at the stars. I couldn't sleep. It had been really close call today. The zombie had been so quiet. Not like the others. He'd gotten my foot, while I was climbing the cliff to my home, the only safe place they couldn't reach. I gripped the rocks and hung by my arms while I kicked him in the face. It reminded me my first attack.... [describes attack] Then I got to thinking about this whole mess of a world-or what was left. Happened somewhere in Asia. One bad infection. Then someone got bit and before you know it ten more people are walking around rotting and looking for food. A lot of people laughed it off. Like it was some big joke. I guess the joke's on them.
What would be a good start to a zombie apocalypse story?
I'm trying to write one even though I dont see the point as everything has been done before so it would be over kill I think but everything other thing has been done before too. I have always wanted to write stories like game of thrones,hunger games,harry potter,zombies etc but why bother when whatever i right is similar
How to write A Zombie Apocalypse story?
A zombie story is fictional, but make it as realistic as possible. Be prepared to have several of your main characters die during the story, mix it up. Do things that mainstream zombie movies wouldn't do. Make sure you don't have your characters blasting through a huge group of zombies with a shotgun unscathed. Originality is very important. Have a beginning to bond with the characters first, and then have the apocalypse come.Have them hide in their homes until the zombies smell them and break in. Have someone die as they try to escape and then they hide in another place but they realize it already has zombies in it. Just a few suggestions.
