Here in India what I have observed is that the potential vacancies are notified on the website of every Airline including the govt owned Air India. People apply for different jobs depending on their qualification. Technical jobs need rekevant education and qualification to be inducted after test, interview. Necessary training for each post is given by the employee on appointment. For non technical posts like Check in agents, Reservation Assistants, Customer Service Agents the qualification required is graduation and people selected after test and interview are given class room training and on the job training and put on the job to face customers. Compared to olden days reservation and ticketing job has become very easy due to 100% computerisation as you don't have to remember anything but ask the computer. Some of the domestic airlines are giving preference to candidates having IATA qualification in Ticketing and Ground Handling. But in interview it depends on how one can face fearlessly and answer fluently in English and to some extent in Hindi too. After al airline job requires fluency in English. Efficient Customer Service Agents are later offered job of Load and Trim Sheet preparation. This requires very high marks like 90% in the training and interview by Director General of Civil Aviation officials. But it is not that difficult to get 100% marks. Airlines regard this as an import and prime job as the success lies on preparation of flaw less Load Sheet and many airlines and Ground Handling agencies call them Load Masters.Ground Handling Agencies in different airports in the country also recruit people similarly to perform such jobs on behalf of different airlines operated in such airports. A good experience of two years and above in such jobs in the country enables one to apply for such jobs in very busy airports like Dubai and other Middle East airports.Aircraft Engineers and Aircraft Technicians are recruited and sent for in house training and on successful completion allotted on the job training under supervision till they attain experience to perform themselves. Aircraft Engineers are who certify airworthiness prior to each and every flight the aircraft undertake. Certain airlines give this responsibility to the Senior Aircraft Technicians too.
