In my old phone I had Automatic Call Recorder installed and if I was calling someone special or waiting for some important call then I would switch on the automatic option. It always recorded without any beep, or delay or any sign, which would have made the person on the other side to know that. Then after the end of call, I would switch this feature off to avoid unnecessarily recording of the general & regular calls. There was not even a single instance of any detection from anyone.Now, the new phone has Android 6.0 Marshmallow, it has the option of recording on the call screen itself, no need of any other app or anything, anytime during the call you can press record and it will do that without a single noise or beep. But if you execute all the precautions i have mentioned you won't get hacked.And if your phone is completely safe then you need not to worry since WhatsApp provide end to end encyption.
