What Is The Most Bizzare Phobia In The World

A bizarre and shameful phobia... any info or advice?

(amanda: you are NOT mean and im sorry people are telling you that, and are telling you to just "get over it". dont listen to them.)
(and kyer, autism is NOT retardation. autism is when someone lacks the natural abilities and functions to socialize. I feel bad that your brothers have a sibling who thinks they're retarded)

amanda: When someone is afraid of something they shouldnt be afraid of, its because they were conditioned by some experience in the past. Just because you dont remember it or cant think of it doesnt mean it didnt happen. It could also be something that you would blow over and think has no relevance, but it does.

Something happened. it traumatized you by related whatever happened to you with fear and danger. A trigger developed in your brain, and when the proper stimulus activates that trigger, you go into a fear-frenzy because your brain is telling you "there it is again! ruuuun!". Its not your fault, dont be ashamed, although i understand you have to say that for people to not judge you.

you NEED to find out what happened that caused this fear. When you do, it will all piece together and allow you to overcome the fear. What is fueling the fear right now is your lack of understanding of the fear.

goodluck :P if you want to talk about it, feel free to email me, i'll be glad to help:

What is the most bizarre phobia you have faced?

I have phobia of taking shower let me explain it to you.I can swim, I even did scuba diving. I love water. I love taking long shower. But I can never put my head directly under the shower. I start feeling suffocating.I don’t know if this has any relation with my childhood dreams. I always dream of drowning in water. I never died in my dreams. I get the same feeling when I am under shower. I feel like I am going to die.And this one is really scary. Driving PhobiaI can’t even ride a cycle. Although I participated in cyclothon successfully completed it. But I just can’t be on road. It scares me. I can visualize my self hit by a vehicle. I see blood on the road literally day dreaming I can say.I tired learning driving so many times. I can drive well on roads without any vehicle. The moment I see even a bicycle I get these visuals and panic attacks. This is weird in so many ways as I never met an accident on road. I never had any dream related to this. None of my dreams ever involved cars or road as long as I remember. I don’t dream much. This one is might be psychological mixture in my brain.I have phobia of being happy.I think a lot or you can say analyse things very closely and somehow I have made this perception in my mind that whenever I feel super happy like I never felt before, that is indication of some super bad thing in my life.So there are days I am really happy but I just make up something to be sad. I am scared of happiness.I have this going in my mind continuously. I just can’t loose myself and feel happy completely. Most of the times it’s me trying to remember something painful from the past and try to tell myself this is not permanent. This is good in one way because now I completely live in present. I am not a sad person. I am quite talkative and fun.

What are some most bizarre phobias that exist in the world?

Here are a few bizarre phobias:Agyrophobia(Fear of Crossing the Street)-Agyrophobics have a fear of crossing streets, highways and other thoroughfares, or a fear of thoroughfares themselves. This, of course, makes it very difficult to live comfortably in a city.Mageirocophobia (Fear of Cooking)-The bizarre fear of cooking is called mageirocophobia which comes from the Greek word mageirokos which means a person skilled in cooking. This disorder can be debilitating and potentially lead to unhealthy eating if one lives alone.Pediophobia (Fear of Dolls)-Pediophobia is the irrational fear of dolls. Not just scary dolls – ALL dolls. Strictly speaking, the fear is a horror of a “false representation of sentient beings” so it also usually includes robots and mannequins, which can make it decidedly difficult to go shopping.Deipnophobia (Fear of Dinner Conversation)-Now admittedly some dinner conversations can be very awkward, but some people are so terrified of the idea of speaking to another person over dinner that they avoid dining out situations. In times gone by there were strict rules of etiquette that helped a person to deal with these situations – but they are (sadly) mostly forgotten.Eisoptrophobia (Fear of Mirrors)-Eisoptrophobia is a fear of mirrors in the broad sense, or more specifically the fear of being put into contact with the spiritual world through a mirror. Sufferers experience undue anxiety even though they realize their fear is irrational. Because their fear often is grounded in superstitions, they may worry that breaking a mirror will bring bad luck or that looking into a mirror will put them in contact with a supernatural world inside the glass.

I have had a bizarre phobia all of my life?

that sounds so silly but scary at the same time...silly to outsiders but I'm sure you don't think it's silly. You probably do have some sort of fear of cheese which is horribly sad! I don't know if there is any help out there for phobias or if it's just a facing your fear type of deal. Do you have any idea why you're scared of it or what triggered it? I'm convinced that any phobia was triggered in early life to make you prone to fearing it so I bet something in your childhood or even as a baby made you fear this. Talk to your parents see if you had some sort of swiss cheese crisis or something as a baby..perhaps someone you were scared of used to eat it all the time so your subconsious makes you fear the cheese because it connects it with the person. fears are something that is very interesting to me. I'm afraid of water myself..not like showering but water that I can't touch bottom in. I almost drown white water rafting..actaully my whole family almost drown so if I'm not in control of the situation involving water I freak out..total panic attack. Good luck with you fear tho! I'll keep checkin back here to see if you found a solution to your problem! =)

Do you have any weird phobias (fears)?

I have trillions of different phobias myself.
My biggest fear is spiders,
but my most unusual one would have to be my fear of seeing or hearing people eat.
I've googled it and there's not even a name for it.
But I did read blogs about other people who had the same thing, so it's not just me.
Do you have any phobias?

What are some of the most bizarre autobiographies written?

Fahrenheit 451Ray Bradbury’s internationally acclaimed novel Fahrenheit 451 is a masterwork of twentieth-century literature set in a bleak, dystopian future.Guy Montag is a fireman. In his world, where television rules and literature is on the brink of extinction, firemen start fires rather than put them out. His job is to destroy the most illegal of commodities, the printed book, along with the houses in which they are hidden.Montag never questions the destruction and ruin his actions produce, returning each day to his bland life and wife, Mildred, who spends all day with her television “family.” But then he meets an eccentric young neighbor, Clarisse, who introduces him to a past where people didn’t live in fear and to a present where one sees the world through the ideas in books instead of the mindless chatter of television. When Mildred attempts suicide and Clarisse suddenly disappears, Montag begins to question everything he has ever known. He starts hiding books in his home, and when his pilfering is discovered, the fireman has to run for his life.

What is the most strange phobia that you have seen or read?

Dear Harshit Kaushik,For a long time, since the old days of the Q/A site called Ask, my very favourite strange phobia of all time was triskaidekaphobia, it is the fear of the number thirteen. What is the most strange phobia that you have seen or read? However that has changed recently, and my new favourite phobia is arachibutyrophobia, which is the fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of one’s mouth.Just as with other phobias, when the peanut butter gets wedged on the roof of your mouth, you feel panic, dread, terror, anxiety, rapid heartbeat and shortness of breath.

Weird Phobia that no one has ever heard of ....?

i have an irrational phobia of someone rubbing two tissues together. Socks and cotton bother me a lot too! It just freeks me out - my stomach turns in knots and i have trouble breathing. Now all my friends have found out and like to make fun of me for it, because they don't think it exists.
I've had this phobia ever since i can remember and i absolutely hate it!
If i could just find out the NAME of the phobia and know that im not absolutely insane, that would be good.
i dont know ... i know there is a phobia of cotton - Bambakophobia ... maybe i just have an offset of that do you think?
