History AP question????????????

He created the first National Bank and a system of tariffs, taxes etc. He was trying to make a point about how the nation 'needs' a national bank to establish financial security (even though national banks provide quite the opposite). England had a national bank (The Banks of England) and many (including John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Aaron Burr) disapproved of the bank for numerous reasons.

The purpose of a national bank is simple: to make money for the super wealthy. Banks make loans on the expectation that the money is received, they are only required to have ~10% on hand. When a stock market 'crash' happens the banks go "oh we lost all of our loans, we need the national bank to bail us out". So a national bank (now the Federal Reserve, 4th national bank) essentially 'creates' money to give to the big banks who 'lost all their loans'. The catch is: the money for those loans never existed in the first place! So we all pay indirectly through inflation...
