How can I get rid of lumps on my gums?

It is important to first determine if the lumps are a part of a diseased process or normal physiology. Sometime lumps can be harmless and part of normal oral tissue such as in case of lumps arising from exostoses, gingival fibrous nodules etc. At times, they could result from bacterial infection arising in case of gingivitis, gingival abscess, periodontal abscess.Other causes could be drug related growths on the gums, benign growths or growths from other causes.Have yourself evaluated by a dentist and get yourself treated according to the cause of the concerned problem.

What is the ball like lump on my gums?

So here is my problem. I'm going to try to give as much information as possible, hope you can follow. I have this small ball like lump (its about the size of a pencil eraser) on the bottom left side of my mouth, its also at the top of my gum on my last tooth. It occasionally hurts when I eat or brush my teeth and I have had it for about a month or more I guess. Its mostly pink in color...a little brighter than the rest of my gums except for a small part at the bottom that is white. It not hard, I can poke it and it dents (its a little tender when I do that), other than that is is not move-able as in its not like a growth or a skin tag. What could this be? Is there any home remedies I should try... or is a visit absolutely necessary. I hate going to the dentist, positively hate it. So I don't want to go unless it is 100% necessary!

Additional Info: I am pretty good with my oral hygiene. I brush my teeth daily (although only once a day most of the time). And I use mouth wash and only chew sugar free gum. I don't floss though, because my teeth don't have much room between them and its really hard to get the floss in there.

Are these two lumps on the sides of my gums under my tongue supposed to be there? WITH pic?

These two lumps are under my tongue on both sides of my gums. They are hard but don't hurt at all? Or should I worry? I'm not sure how long they've been there..

What is this bump on my gum?

Most likely is just hyperplastic tissue, i.e. gums overgrowing on the extraction site. Do you have an opposing tooth that might be hurting the scar and causing the red spot? It could also be a lump totally unrelated to your wisdom tooth extraction, so better have it checked.

If there is a round ball or lump on the side of your tooth in the gums what does it mean?

As a dental assistant, i see many patients who come in with your condition, i take an x-ray of the area, and to confirm the infection i show the doctor the x-ray and if we find the abscess in the x-ray we prescribe the patient with antibiotics. A dental infection can be both painful or not painful at all, it could be one of your teeth that's causing the infection, or simply bad oral hygiene of plaque build up that irritate the gums and even underneath the gum-line the infection spreads. visit your dentist so he can drain it... but finish your antibiotics. GO TO THE DENTIST as soon as you can, and stop the infection from ever spreading...

( Information given is not for diagnostics purposes, i am not a doctor ) visit your dentist for prescriptions and keep brushing, do not stop brushing that area, use floss, use oral antiseptic rinses )

How can I get rid of painful lumps on my gums?

Every night, make it your little ritual…1- Floss gently with a thin flossline. Don´t shove it down your gums! Just go back a fd to clean the sidewall of your tooth until the base, to both sides… be patient and gentle! it is not to make it bleed. (but it happens on occasion)2- Use a mouthwash formula without alcohol. (Listerine has too much alcohol)3- Brush your teeth as if you were polishing every single tooth. and brush your tongue. Always in that order!4- And if you feel they are too irritated after brushing , wash your mouth with some chamomile tea. no sugar, not too hot. try to keep it in your mouth for a while.Your gums will start to cure.

I have a squishy bump on my gums?

Hello, What you describe is a text book example of an abscess tooth. When a tooth has an abscess at it's root and the abscess finds a path up the side of the tooth to the gums surface it allows the gas that infection creates to escape...While you can still fell a level of pain, I assure you that if the infection gas couldn't get out you would really be feeling pain. Your Dentist will no doubt X-ray the tooth to determine what's going on exactly and tell you the proper treatment choices. Good luck and I wish you well.
The Denture Pro,

Very painful lump on my gum?

definatly sounds like a tooth abcess, do not leave it to go on its own, if left they can cause biggg problems.

boil water & add 5 teaspoons of salt, let it cool slightly but u still need it as hot as you can manage. rinse your mouth several times a day.
but u need to see a dentist ASAP, it sounds exactly like an infection i had, and because of the location it can very quickly spread to your bloodstream
