What Is Your Favorite Part Of Louisiana Out Of These Options

Louisiana drop out and get my GED?

In Louisiana you can obtain your GED at the age of 16 if and only if you fall under these circumstances.
Pregnant or actively parenting,
Incarcerated or adjudicated,
Institutionalized or living in a residential facility,
Chronic physical or mental illness, or
Family and/or economic hardships.

Other then that it is illegal for a K-12 student to drop out at that age.
You can however also do it if you are 17, but you will have to enroll in the Adult Education program, and have a letter from the school stating that you have officially withdrawn from school, then you will take some classes where they will asses your readiness to take your GED, upon assessing you they will determine what the best course of action is for you. These options will be discussed with you with a certified GED instructor.

PS
GED classes are usually free, but you have to pay a fee for the exam.

Residential lease renewal (Louisiana)?

Lease renewal question (Louisiana)
We signed a 12 month residential lease agreement with a Real Estate company being the property manager for the homeowner. Pretty typical lease. Prior to the expiration of this lease agreement, we were notified by the real estate company that they would no longer be managing the property. The homeowner decided to manage the property herself and would be in contact with us regarding a lease renewal. At this point the real estate company asked us to sign a form which allowed them to transfer our deposit to the landlord. Soon after, we received an introduction letter from the landlord/homeowner that praised us for being great tenants for the past year, and enclosed lease renewal options. The options were to move out, renew a 12 month agreement or to continue on a month to month basis. We chose the month to month option due to outgrowing the home and wanting to move into a more desirable school district.

So my question is...
Do all terms and conditions from our previous lease with the real estate company apply to this renewal with the landlord/homeowner agreement? I would assume that these are two separate entities. We have run into a few problems with the landlord and she keeps saying all terms and conditions from our original lease apply to the renewal agreement. Is this possible?

Why did 29% of Louisiana Republicans blame Obama for the response to Hurricane Katrina?

This is just astonishing. Hurricane Katrina happened years before Obama even took office. It shows that Obama will be blamed for anything, even things that happened before he even took office in the White House.

An equally valid question is, what percentage asked questions about global warming and whether it might have played a role... and how many are still demanding inaction on climate.

Scientists agree that no single weather event can be attributed to global warming. The weather is chaotic and there have always been hurricanes. However, 98% of scientists in the field do believe that global warming is real, that humans are causing it, and that it makes things like this more likely to happen.

At a Home Depot somewhere in the area, you can no doubt see a truck filled with building supplies to repair a home that was damaged by a hurricane. And, on that truck, you can see a bumper sticker claiming that global warming is a hoax and demanding inaction on this issue from the government.... even as they're rebuilding a house that was damaged by a hurricane. Because, you know, Al Gore owns a large house that uses lots of CO2, and Fox News reported on that climategate scandal. Many people repairing their hurricane damaged houses are no doubt angry that liberals actually want to do something about global warming, when it is they, themselves, who are suffering the very consequences that scientists have been warning us about for decades. Liberals and their socialism global warming scam.....

Has there ever been a better example of someone being played by the rich to fight against their own best interests?

The Koch brothers must really laugh all the way to the bank whenever they see this happening. These are the oil/industrial billionaires who have spent millions of dollars convincing the Tea Party base that global warming is a hoax concocted by Al Gore so that liberals can raise their taxes and implement "socialism".

Is it legal in Louisiana to have a capuchin monkey as a pet?

If it is legal, what would I have to go through to have one? Are they aggressive animals? ( I know chimps are aggressive) Is there a special kind of food that i have to feed them or can just eat people food?

Best gay-friendly cities to live in the southern U.S.?

Are there any cities in the south of U.S. where gays are welcomed, or at least well-accepted? I'm used to living in huge cities where being gay is hardly an issue. There may be some job opportunities for me in the bible belt of the south. What might some of my options be? It would be nice if there were a decent gay culture (like Atlanta) too.

But beyond Atlanta, I'd like to find out about much smaller cities that might not be so obvious as well. What do you think?
