What can I do with a bachelors degree in marketing?
I received my BA in Marketing in 2008. I'd been working as an "intern" while in college, and joined the AMA (American Marketing Association" as well. Unless you are looking for a Marketing Analyst position, getting a job in marketing is about 2 things: 1. Who you know 2. What your Marketing experience is I've yet to not get a job that I've gone for mainly because I always have professional references. Even from people who've only met me a couple times, but I've made a good impression on them. As far as where the industry will be, it's a tough call. A lot of companies have slashed marketing jobs (from agencies, companies, etc) Unfortunately Marketing positions are often times first to go because they aren't directly tied to a companies profit line. (We marketing people know better though!) Nonetheless, even with a poor economy, the only people who have Marketing jobs right now are the cream of the crop. Don't worry about your GPA. Unless you are trying to get a job with a high level marketing firm, and you went to Harvard, odds are a potential employer won't even care about your GPA. Your experience will outweigh your GPA anyways. My best advice: If you are going to be in Marketing, you need to be personable! The most successful people I know in this field are people who are good conversationalists, and like to be around people. Good luck!

Not having experience can make getting a job harder but it is never impossible. You need to play to your strengths in your CV and applications and demonstration your passion for the job.For a career in marketing I would consider putting together a portfolio of work to showcase to employers that can demonstrate your skills without the need for you to have previously done the job.Also, look at junior roles in the areas that will allow you a chance to learn in the role, potentially an apprenticeship or internship.If you are struggling to get into work, consider volunteering somewhere for work experience whilst you look for a job. Can I get a job in marketing without having a MBA degree?
Of course yes, generally in sales line as a sales person. Designations may vary. In fact, even with an MBA, it is better to have field sales experience. Only difference is with an MBA, you can subsequently grow to higher positions in Marketing field.

You really are limited if you only have a bachelor's. You won't be unemployed forever, but you may not find the work you really want. Previous research indicates that only about 25% of psychology undergraduates end up working in a field closely related to psychology. A bachelor's degree in psychology qualifies a person to assist psychologists and other professionals in community mental health centers, vocational rehabilitation offices, and correctional programs; to work as research or administrative assistants; and to take jobs as trainees in government or business. However, without additional academic training, their advancement opportunities in psychology are severely limited. With my bachelor's, I worked in a group home and a community mental health program. You could probably get a job as a psych tech, so I would check with the state hospitals, community mental health programs, or private hospitals. You may also be able to find work as a case manager (again check the places above). It is best if you have some experience, but honestly, some of these places are so understaffed, they'll hire you anyway.
