What are some ways I can self-teach and refine my knowledge of Biology?

Well, as a Biology major myself, I pretty much did what you want to do, in my senior year of high school. I looked ahead and found out what biology textbook my college would be using, and I found it at my high school- I asked the AP Bio teacher if I could borrow a copy and he allowed it.
Here's the name of the text I used; Biology, by Neil Campbell and (i think Jane) Reece. Check for the newest edition.

This book is EXCELLENT! I'm someone who doesn't really enjoy reading things, but this book truly is in-depth and covers a TON of biology. Its text itself isn't dull and boring like most texts are, and its diagrams are extremely detailed, involved, and have great explanations right aside them. Some of my friends actually ignored the text in the book and simply studied the diagrams and the text surrounding them, and did well in the college class (at an ivy league school)! Additionally, there are practice questions at the end of each chapter to test your comprehension of the chapter, there are practice tests based upon this textbook that can be easily found online just by googling examinations for Campbell Biology, and I believe if you buy the textbook, you can even access the full text online so you don't need to carry the textbook everywhere you go.

I highly recommend purchasing or taking out this book from a library/school and reading through as many of the chapters as you would like. It will prepare you well not only for introductory biology, but will give you a solid foundation for upper level biology courses as well (as I've found in my own experiences). Simply reading this book allowed me to skip lectures without missing any material!

Best of luck!

How can I study engineering by myself?

Well you can study engineering on your own but it wont be sufficient enough to learn it completely. When you learn new concepts about the past inventions and how they developed into something that it is now and use the knowledge to make it better in the future, that proves the proper engineers way of learning and application. You can surely gain a huge amount of knowledge through reading, regarding the field you’re interested in, but then, without proper certifications it won’t be possible now to get a job or a research experience in the same field. For that, you’ll need prior certifications that tell others that you are a scholar who has all the basic knowledge that is required to continue your further exploration in the field.I appreciate you come up and ask these questions that are too fair and simply not applicable in the current world outside. So i wish you luck for your future and you’ll make it great if you pursue aeronautical/mechanical in college. All the best!!!

Can I learn SQL by myself?

It would be very beneficial for my current job if I have some SQL knowledge. I want to get SQL certified. But it will take like 6 months time and I don't have time to take class now. Plus it's expensive. I have foundamental knowledge of BASIC(old programming language), Foxpro(old database language), expert in Excel, Access. I think I am smart in computer and learning new technology. Can I learn SQL just by buying books and studying by myself? which book would you recommend? or Anybody know any online classes? I would spend time and money to take class whenever I have those but I need it now and I don't have the time.
Thanks!!

I'm in 7th grade and want to study physics by myself?

Physics is mostly comprised of logic and intuitive thinking. You should start training yourself to start thinking logically whenever presented a question by breaking it down into an easier version of that question. Physics involves easy Algebra, if you can understand the concepts, the math comes automatically. Think of Algebra, as another language, and a way to represent a problem. Anyways, back to the question at hand, I suggest a book called "AP Physics 1 : Algebra Based" by Greg Jacobs. Do not feel intimated by it being an "AP" book, I started out taking AP physics as a sophomore in high school. Physics really is not that hard, all the renowned scientists already broke it down to easy principles. Just do not over think it, and you will understand it quickly. I suggest performing real life experiments to prove the laws of physics to yourself while studying physics; you may stubble across some topics involving many formulas, just remember formulas/equations is English translated to Algebra.

Good luck!
