What Laptop Will Run Sims 3

What’s a good laptop that will run Sims 3 and will work for college stuff? My budget is up to $650.

This Acer Aspire should get the job done for you. Basically what I looked for was a laptop that was between 13–15 inches (not to small but fits in a backpack), had 8 GB of RAM and an SSD (makes regular use feel quick and smooth), and had a somewhat competent CPU and GPU for Sims 3 (the i5 and integrated graphics should get the job done with some settings tweaks).Amazon says they only have 2 left, so don't take too long to make a decision.Have fun in college!https://www.amazon.com/Acer-Aspi...

Will a Compaq CQ60-320SA Laptop run sims 3?

You're good to go as far as CPU speed and you have more than enough RAM to run the game. The graphics card is where it's hard to tell. The 8200M that your laptop has is not specifically listed in the "supported video cards" list. But the earlier and lesser 6200 and 7200 series are listed which leads me to believe your card would run the game, but you'd probably have to run it with low graphics settings on a low resolution. For future reference: The second number in NVidia's video cards is where you need to look. If it's 1-4 the card is not meant for gaming it's meant more for desktop graphics and movie watching. the 5-9 series are for serious gaming and will run anything you throw at them with high if not the highest settings.

Windows Supported Video Cards
NVIDIA GeForce series

FX 5900, FX 5950
6200, 6500, 6600, 6800
7200, 7300, 7600, 7800, 7900, 7950
8400, 8500, 8600, 8800
9300, 9400, 9500, 9600, 9800
G100, GT 120, GT 130, GTS 150
GTS 250, GTX 260, GTX 280, GTX 285, GTX 295

You should run the system requirements checker at the EA Sims 3 site: Either it'll flag your video card or say it's good to go. The scan will tell you for sure. (I think you'll be ok :-)

Will this laptop run SIMS 3 smoothly?

Laptops aren't necessarily ideal for games. But, my computer runs Sims 3 okay, and the laptop's specs are about the same, but I have 712 more MBs of RAM and a better graphics card. And that laptop has a faster processor. It would run pretty decent, but the graphics would have to be set on a low setting.

Can the sims 3 run on my acer aspire 5517 laptop?

I really need help.Ok,So i have an acer aspire 5517 laptop and im getting te sims 3 on friday and i want to know if my acer aspire 5517 laptop can run it. Plz help! I really want to play the sims 3. It doesnt matter if its laggy,i just need to know if it will run the sims 3.

Will the Sims 3 slow down my laptop? Will I be able to uninstall it completely if it makes my laptop slow?

I have a Toshiba Satellite A300-21I.
I have tested to see if it meets the requirements on canurunit.com and another similar website.
CanURunIt said I meet all the requirements except for RAM, it says I need 1.5GB and that I have 1.9GB but I don't understand because it's saying I have more RAM than needed so why don't I meet the requirements?
The other website I used said I meet all the requirements.

I've had my laptop for less than a year and I've always been careful with what I download and install on it etc. I have never installed a CD on it before and when I am no-longer using something that I have downloaded, I uninstall it.
I have put a DVD in the CD Drive before and it made this really load roaring noise (like the fan on overload or something); it was so loud that I couldn't hear what the people were saying on the DVD and I was getting a bit worried about it so I took it out of the CD Drive.
(when I say "CD Drive", I mean a disk drive that accepts both CD-Roms and DVDs).
I'm worried that if I put the Sims 3 CD into my laptop, it might make the really loud noise.

I do also have a desktop computer but it's eight years old and extremely slow (so slow that I actually stuck a rosette on the monitor saying "Crowned The Slowest Of All").
I am thinking of uninstalling everything on my desktop PC and "rebooting" it so that it starts again as though it's new.
I'd prefer it if I could play the Sims 3 on my laptop as I have been considering moving my desktop PC into my loft (it's being refurbished) or garage. Both of which are a bit awkward and I'd rather be able to move to different areas in my house whilst playing the game as I would with my laptop.

--------------------------------------...
I KNOW THIS IS LONG AND MAYBE BORING TO READ BUT PLEASE AT LEAST READ BELOW.

If I bought the Sims 3 and installed it on my laptop and if it was slow etc. and if it sort of messed up my laptop and then if I were to uninstall it completely from my laptop and try installing it on my desktop computer instead (once it has been rebooted), would my laptop be recovered since I would have uninstalled the Sims 3 or would it still suffer the effects even though I have removed it?

Basically, if the Sims 3 made my laptop slow, could I uninstall it so that my laptop is completely back to it's high-speed-ness again?

Thank you. I really hope I can get the Sims 3 with no problems.

What laptop will run sims 3 and all expansions smoothly?

Larissa, your best choice is to post this question on The Sims forum under Technical Discussions:

Use your Origin login to post there.

They can find the best laptops for your budget, but also put together a laptop for you with the best options. All you have to do is give them your budget and country. They will not be able to determine anything for Sims 5 as it is not even known yet if it will be, much less what it would need in future if it ever comes.

Sims 3 is so slow on my laptop, what can I do to speed it up? NEED HELP!?

First of all, you don't have 70 GB of RAM, you have 70 GB of hard drive space, but that won't make much of a difference. Yes, clearing up files may help a little, but only barely will it speed the game up.

You haven't shared any of your computer specs, but I do know that the Sims 3 requires decent computer specs, and most laptops aren't ideal for gaming.

A Google search showed that your laptop has a Go 6150 graphics card, which doesn't go great with gaming, unless you opted to get the optional Go 7200 dedicated graphics card. Unfortunately, because of the way laptops are built, if your graphics card is the problem, there is nothing you can do about it, because you can't change the graphics card on most laptops.

If its your RAM (short term memory), then, there may be something you can do. Right click on my computer and select properties. It will show system properties and somewhere is will tell you how much memory (RAM) you have. If this number is 3 gigabytes (3000 MB) or greater, you should be fine. However, if its only around 2 gb (2000 MB), you'll want to get more RAM, to speed up the game. Go to some place like Staples, they'll install the RAM for you.

Which laptop could I buy just for playing The Sims 3?

My wife plays it all the time on a Asus UX430 with a MX150 discrete graphics. MX150 is one of the cheaper GPUs you can get in a laptop and is frequently found in ultrabooks. It runs Sims 3 great, can even run some newer games.Sims 3 will actually run on integrated graphics, but you’d have to turn down the detail a bit for a smooth experience.
