What Looks Worse Whiteheads Or Pimples

Is it okay to pop your pimples?

STOP popping the spots, also known as pimples and zits. This may make the pimple look worse due to inflammation and irritation. Popping a zit can spread infection under the skin and produce even more pimples than before. If you do pop a spot then immediately clean it with soap and water or rubbing alcohol in order to prevent infection. If a pimple erupts in a particularly bothersome place, learn how to target a single pimple. And if you're determined to pop, learn how to pop a pimple safely and properly. If you do pop a pimple and you want to avoid anything resembling Western medicine, one thing to try is put a mixture of honey and ground cinnamon on the spot. Put a band-aid on it also. You may also want to stay away from stress.

Remove any make-up you have on. Wearing make-up can clog pores, making them dirty and causing pimples. Also try to wear oil-free makeup (if you have oily skin) or a medicated makeup.

Use a mild soap for sensitive skin but it doesn't matter exactly what type of soap you use. It can be designed for acne-prone skin or not, but you will want to treat your skin gently. Harsh antibacterial soap may actually make your acne worse by irritating skin...

Got sunburn on my face and back now i have whitehead zits everywhere i was burned ?

Don't worry it is not what you ate :)
There is two reasons why you could be breaking out:
1. You just got sunburned! Though UV rays kill acne causing bacteria, after you come out of the sun they come back out to munch on the excess dead skin and oil created by the "bad burn" which will cause an out break in the areas that you have a bad burn. Like maybe your face.
2. It was hot outside and you sweated a lot. Sweat is a combination of some salty water body bi-product and oils. If your sweat stays on your body than the bacteria have a feast on the the oils and create a surplus of whiteheads. (yum!)

To make them go away:
First off don't pick at the ones on your sunburn-because it is gross and will be very painful. Then make sure you wash your face after sweating like that, for preventive reasons. Then to get rid of it now, because you have a bad sunburn it would be best to use a light wash (nothing to potent) so your skin doesn't get irritated and peel or flake off. Let your sunburn heal, it will take some time and maybe a few more zits but they will go away.
I hope this is okay

My makeup makes my acne look worse?

Without makeup I have discoloured looking skin. It's reddish and I have lots of small pimples and blackheads and a few big ones. When I put foundation on, by the end of the day my face looks oily and the acne bumps are more visible even though the redness is covered. I'm very insecure without makeup. What should I do?

Is picking at pimples and acne bad for your skin?

YES, it will leave scars all over your face!

What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.

Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

Good luck :)

Does wearing glasses make your skin look a thousand times worse?

When I first put on glasses, I almost wanted to cry. It made my acne amplified by a 100%. The thing is, without corrected vision, I think I actually look handsome, my acne really doesn't look too bad with my normal vision. But the second I can see clearly, I see all the open pores, white heads, black heads, ect.

It makes me want to cry and gets me so frustrated. I don't even think I look human, more like a monster.

Why are my pimples non existent in the mornings and then during mid day they come back?

Hi,~ Face Mapping ~     The cause could be diet, depending on what you like to eat for breakfast (examples:  Bagel with Cream Cheese, Latte with cream added, Doughnut and Pastries or fried foods with toast and butter perhaps).  The other cause is hormones which could be out of balance as a result of diet and other factors like lack of sleep or skincare products with bad ingredients in them.  Here is an article from Food Matters explaining Face Mapping and how that can help direct you to the cause of your skin breakouts:   Face Mapping: What Your Pimples Are Trying To Tell You"Afternoon: This may be caused by hormones, if you’re getting close to your menstrual period, or it could be that your makeup or moisturizer is to blame. If you start out with a fresh face and then by afternoon see pimples and blackheads showing up, check the ingredients in your makeup and moisturizing products. Things like mineral oil, propylene glycol, dimethicone, and others can actually create a barrier on skin that traps bacteria underneath, increasing your chances of a breakout."

How bad does my acne look?

A lot of pimples on your forehead can sometimes be an indication of dehydration. So I would firstly suggest topping up on water, eating lots of antioxidants (green stuff), avoid touching your face at all costs, or even touching the pimples or cysts because this will cause damage to your skin in the long term. For acne, avoid harsh products. Their are some products you can get over the counter (UK wise) which contain benzoyl peroxide which is good for decreasing the pimples. However, if they are painful, I would recommend getting a prescription for a group of antibiotics called tetracyclines which decrease the production of the acne ‘bacteria’ (P.acnes). This should help over the long term if the rest of the above advice doesn't help!Good luck, don't let it get you down, loads of people suffer from acne, its one of those unfortunate teenage things.
