What Makes My Face Worse

Does a fan make a cold worse?

My whole life I’ve had a fan on me when I sleep. My dad said when I was a baby it didn’t matter if it was snowing and 10 degrees outside momma had a fan on me. I need it now more so for noise. But I also need the circulating air. I can’t stand still air. I feel I can’t breathe. There have been times I have woke up with a sore throat and attributed it to the fan. The next night the fans cool breeze was uncomfortable on my throat. It did seem to keep my sinuses irritated but the symptoms didn’t get worse. Eventually I just pointed it away from my face and it was fine. After a few days I was all back to normal. Does the fan make symptoms worse? Not in my experience. It may cause them to linger longer than normal. But they didnt get worse. I also keep my fan clean. They all tend to get dust and debris built up on the blades and the back. That seems to help more than anything. But. If I knew I’d get a cold using a fan then I’d just have to get a cold. If i knew symptoms would worsen with the use of a fan then they’d just have to worsen, lol. I have got to have my fan. Or A fan. I downloaded the app for fan noise. But when the air is still it renders the app useless for me. I have friends i sometimes stay with. Nice Brand new house. Not a single ceiling fan!!

Tretinoin is making my face worse?

Hi, interesting question. Usually treatments like Tretinoin work well over a short period of time, clearing out pimples and acne quickly. But if you continue to take it over a lengthy period of time, your daily habits change. You might become more or less active, thus your body prespires differently. It could be that you haven't found a good balance of the 'amount' of the medicine you are applying versus the kind of daily physical activity you have been doing. Try to start out with 'less' medicine, wash your face with soap and hot water before (everytime) and apply over night. This will give your face a chance to catch up to your routine.

Good luck.

Washing My Face Makes Acne Worse?

Okay, so whenever I wash my face my acne gets worse. And when I stop it get's better. My mum says I should still wash my face but I don't because I don't want to make it worse again. I found a product for my acne issues about two months ago from the Body Shop. It's the sea-weed facial. I want to get it to help my acne but I'm also nervous that it will make it worse and I don't want to waste my money on a $20 bottle. Can someone please give me an explanation of what's going on? P.s I have oily skin.

Why does my face look worse after washing it?

Does proactive make your face worse before better?

On different acne solutions or surgeries I normally hear that the acne gets worse before it gets better, so is proactive that way, or does it just not work for me? I have all of these small zits since I started proactive and I'm thinking of just waiting it out but I don't want to miss the money back deadline if in the end proactive just doesn't work. Did anyone else experience this? And if so then what's the verdict?

Why does using face wash make my acne worse?

I have used most of the big brands: Neutrogena, Proactive, Acne Free. Sometimes after washing my face I feel cold, like my skin is more sensitive to the air or something. I assume that's because my pores have been cleaned of dirt that was insulating them? When I wake up in the morning I have really oily skin and I have more pimples than I did the day before. What am I doing wrong?

Can washing your face three times a day make your acne worse?

Yes. Washing acne skin 3 times per day can make it worse. Essentially, you’re drying out your skin, therefore your skin produces more oil. One of the factors that cause acne is excessive oil production.I wouldn’t recommend washing your face more than twice per day. Use a mild cleanser or oil cleanse your skin. Oil cleansing helps clean the oil and grime from your pores without stripping your skin dry, thus causing your skin to produce more oil. With oil cleansing, your skin detects that it has enough oil so it stops producing more oil. Here’s an article about the benefits of and how to oil cleanse. Oil: Nature's Skin Cleanser
