Hey I'm gonna be leaving my college dorm for winter break and unfortunately won't be able to take my aloe vera plant with me. So I'm thinking about making a wick system where a rope will move water from a big container to the soil of the plant. Only problem is I don't know what type of rope material works best for absorbing and conducting water Nylon? Rayon? Acrylic? Please do give me a specific type and circumference for what I need. The aloe vera as a plant is about medium size (1 foot tall) and doesn't need a lot of water.
