What Might Be Wrong With My Body

Is it wrong of me to hate my body?

Until you can find another one yes, it is. That has nothing to do with anything about your body. Whether you’re tall or short, fat or thin, Helennic or horrible in your our my or anyone else’s opinion isn’t the point. You have one body and while you hate it, what else can you enjoy? If you don’t like an outfit or a car, a home or a job, you can change it but with your body you either learn to at least like it, or you go through life being carried on a frame of hate.If you really do hate your body your basic choices are to kill it or leave it, to change it or to learn to live with it… which third choice amounts to changing the way you think or feel about it.There’s no great future in wanting to kill or leave your body, is there?Changing your health or fitness, your shape or the colours of your hair or even skin might suit you but if you hate the one you have now, what would guarantee you didn’t hate the new model, too?Changing the way you think or feel about it is likely to produce the best outcome, and possibly also for the least effort. Please consider the trite example of a soldier who loses his leg(s).Some soldiers spent the rest of their lives hating that tragedy; others are thrust into achievements they would never otherwise have dreamed of.Great numbers of suffer no such trauma but are born with bodies they might easily hate, the main difference in how they react being the length of time they have to get used to things. Some are born with bodies others might die for, and find even them hateful but again basically, chuck it or change it…

What is wrong with my body? I'm too skinny?

There is one variable that needs to be addressed here: does this type of weight occur genetically in either side of your family?

If not, the first thing you should do is see a doctor, maybe have some blood tests done and the like. However, I can guarantee you that they will still tell you to eat healthy, regardless of the results of any test. It sounds like you get exercise, but fueling your body with nothing but crappy food isn't necessarily going to make you gain weight. And it certainly won't provide your body with what it needs maintain itself.

One thing that will be excellent for weight gain is taking in healthy amounts of protein. This could be anything from: peanuts, almonds, yogurt, milk, eggs (especially the whites), beans, lean beef, chicken and turkey breast, pork loin, salmon, or tuna. You have quite a large and delicious array of options!

Go see a doctor if necessary, but PLEASE change your diet!

**REPLY** I'd still lay off the bad food, but it kinda just sounds like that's the way you naturally are! Sorry if that's not the answer you wanted to hear.

What’s wrong with my body? Please help?

Ever since i was little, ive had the most annoying things go on with my body. Between the ages of like 5 to 12 i had irritable and itchy pains in my vagina that landed me in emergency rooms. Ive had monthly canker sores ever since i can remember. My acne started in 5th grade and has since gone away for the most part (im 19) except for the ocassional pimple. BUT recently i get painful breakouts on my legs mostly and other parts of my body sometimes too. Right now actually i have these red bumps all down my legs and an oral yeast infection.

Speaking of my legs, they always hurt really bad after shaving and get more bumps. And i use a good razor

My periods are the worst. Im getting checked for endometriosis this fall. My cramps hurt so bad that i cry and fall to the ground. Im also spotting when not on my period. And my immune system goes nuts when im on it.

I really need help and should probably see a doctor. Can anyone give me some thought to what could be wrong with me?

(Im not sexually active. Ive had oral sex once but nothing else)

Thanks guys :(((

What’s wrong with my body? I have been lifting for more than 2 years. I can do 50 kg bench press, 100+ kg squats, 220 kg leg press, and I still look very skinny. Will I have to take steroids?

This is my suggestion if you are an adult who is a regular at the gym and who knows his/her stuff and has tried out everything (diet, form, routines etc.)If you are not, then you probably have simpler options1. Wait until you have fully grown2. Be regular3. Learn your stuff and do it rightSTEROIDS ARE NOT BAD. If done with the guidance of a good medical practitioner it can definitely improve the quality of one’s life. So if you feel it will help you, discuss with a qualified doctor and think about taking the juice.Screw all the people who keep telling you to be a natural. Not everyone has the genetics to get a perfect chest or chiselled abs or bicep peaks. Not everyone is made to become huge and jacked. Many of us are skinny and light by nature and can’t really help it. The hunks and gym-bros will never understand the pain of pushing yourself to lift horrible amounts of weight, attacking your muscles from every angle, trying different supplements and still not getting ANYWHERE. So screw them. Will steroids have serious side effects? Close to none if administered by competent doctors. Will it give you results? Most likely it will. Will it be worth it? That is your decision to make. And one more thing- most of the regular gym rats I know(65kgs and above) start with a 50kg bench press and easily do 8–15 reps with it. So maybe bench heavier?

What kind of damages would be wrong with my body if I was raped at a young age?

The damage is physical at the time, but psychological over time. Being turned on or getting turned turned on is all about what happens between your ears not your legs.. every sexual act starts with a single thought. So what you need to do is to think positively about sex , i know that must be really difficult... but giving a thought about the pleasures of sexual contact and the connection from that contact is perhaps a way forward, whatever you do though don't obsess about it, because that would make things worse. Look in the mirror and think wow i am attractive, take your clothes off and loom in the mirror and think jeez im so sexy and touch yourself and feel the moment of pleasure , a positive mental attitude works wonders....

Are people really born into the wrong body?

There is some validity to there being social discrepancies with how people assume one sex should act and how the other should, so there are lots of people, like myself, who are considered crossdressers or abnormal because we dress or behave outside the generally accepted boxes.

However, while I am just a crossdresser, a male who wears women's clothes but still identifies as a male, I can state that there is a difference between that and someone who is transsexual. Gender Dysphoria is an actual psychological diagnosis where one's brain does actually operate as one of the opposite sex's would. If someone is truly Transsexual, they aren't just saying they are, they have to go through counseling and work with a therapist in order to transition. There are actual criteria that must be met for someone to have a legit sexual re-assignment surgery through the mainstream medical community.

The idea of being born the wrong sex might seem foreign to folks like you and me (Yes, even me, like I said, I crossdress but I still know I'm male) but that is because it is an experience we haven't ever had to deal with. But honestly, the period of time during incubation that a fetus's sex generates is a short one and there are lots of different ways that this can go wrong. There are many, many people who actually have a different chromosome combination than XX or XY, though a lot of them may never even know it.

Thus, transsexuals could just be said to be people suffering from a birth defect, that their body for some reason developed with the wrong set of chromosomes, which is the case for plenty of other genetic birth defects.

(EDIT: To the people who say God doesn't make mistakes, people are born with birth defects all the time, such as down syndrome or misshapen limbs, and you accept that to be part of God's plan. Why then can you not accept that maybe someone's gender reassignment is part of God's plan for them?)

I'm always feeling cold.. whats wrong with my body?

Well, this could be a number of things. Your best bet is to go to a Doctor and have a physical and some blood work done. In most cases, the feeling of always being cold is due to poor circulation. However, it could mean that you do not have enough body fat. You may also be anemic, in which there are low hemoglobin levels in the blood. This is mainly caused by not eating and/ or absorbing enough iron. Are you a vegetarian or on a diet? If so, this could be one of the causes of anemia, since you are probably not eating foods rich in iron (i.e. red meat, dark green leafy vegetables). This could also explain low body fat.
Do you have any other symptoms besides feeling cold (i.e. fatigue, weight loss, dizziness)? When you do go to a Doctor, make sure that you tell him/ her all of your symptoms, eating habits, and exercise habits.

I feel like I am in the wrong body. Is this something to worry about?

There is no such thing as a ‘wrong’ body. Many people are unhappy with their bodies. Whole religions inform us that our bodies are just temporary jackets for our souls/consciousness. Some believe our true selves are the energy that activates our clay; some believe that energy will return from death and get new and different bodies. It’s mostly the atheists and anti-transgender movement who identify with this specific life’s flesh.Biology shows that our bodies are hodge podges of quick fixes and ‘good enough’ solutions evolution came up with. Why would you be satisfied with something so slipshod? If you inherited a junker, would you feel it was perfect?Your body is your inherited junker. You can take it to plastic surgeons for rebuilds and cosmetic changes, but a junker will always have hidden flaws a new car does not. (Source: I own a junker that has been rebuilt three times. It is still junk.)Mental problems occur when your disatisfaction with what you were issued is greater than your ability to accept your body is just the tool you use to interface with the world. If changing the body you wear will make you happier, then do so! Just remember to consider such things to their fullest consequences. To pick one example, getting a tattoo is expensive, painful and difficult to reverse. The art may not look as you expected. The ink will fade. Wrinkles and weight will alter it’s appearance. There are occasional medical issues. There may be society backlash. Certain employers insist tattoos be covered. Certain religious people have issues with them. Family and friends may disapprove.“But I must please myself to be happy!” You may say. But we humans are herd animals, and much as we might wish otherwise, societal backlash hurts us.Mindfulness of where we are right now is important. Just because you don’t feel at home in your body is not a good reason to treat it badly! If counseling seems too much, seek ways to ground yourself. Engage your body’s senses. Possibly spend time outdoors, feeling the world around you, the cycle of plants, the stars whose particles make up your body. Remember your ownership is transitory and use your time with it.

Can your body tell if something is wrong with the baby?

Sometimes the body lets you know, and sometimes it shows absolutely no signs. Personally, my gut told me there was something wrong. I had a nagging feeling and delayed that first ultrasound out of fear. I didn't share my fears with my husband but found out later that he had been feeling the same way. This was our second child so for us, it was a little more nervewracking. The GOOD news is that even though our guts were right, we still carried the baby to term! She's 3 months old now and a true blessing.

I would say in your case that it's just first-time momma nerves. Happens to the best of us and I don't think there's a woman in history who didn't feel nervous about the health of her baby during pregnancy. You're in the home stretch now. Once you reach 12 weeks the odds of miscarriage significantly decrease. If everything was good at your 8 week appt and your hormone levels were where they should be then you have absolutely no reason to worry. Plus, use me as a good example. We DID have a problem yet our baby is alive and thriving regardless! You might consider joining a support group on babycenter.com where you can talk with other mother's who are at the same stage of pregnancy as you. You can help calm one another's nerves and offer support while sharing the joys of your pregnancy together. :)
Congrats honey and stop worrying. Everything will be just fine! Just pray about it and don't stress yourself out.

SUPER skinny upper body. SUPER fat lower body. What wrong with me?

I might have the most awkward body ever. My upper body is extremely skinny; you can see bones sticking out and there if you pinch my chest there is maybe 1 mm of meat there. My lower body, however, is completely different. I have really fat thighs, legs and butt. I have a healthy diet and I exercise regularely, but still this happens!

I don't know how I can fix it. It's like all the fat I have gathers in my lower body, and can't go to my upper body. If it was evenly distributed, I would have a nice body. But it's not. I have a pear shaped body, and it's really obvious how out of proportion I am. I'm a 13 year old girl, so it could be that my upper body hasn't developed yet, but if it becomes fat too, I would just look like a really chubby person. No matter what I do, the fat won't come off.

I have a really healthy diet, and I exercise every day. Other girls in my class eat like pigs and spend most of their time sitting in front a computer stuffing their faces with candy and chips, but they're still skinny. It might be something with the genes but when I look at the rest of my family, they're all normal.

I jog 30 minutes, do 50 squats, jump rope, and stretch my legs every day. I have tennis twice I week and occasionally I swim. So what's wrong? How do I get a normal body?
