How is a GIF created from a TV show?I’ve watched videos and understand how it’s done with pictures but when someone does a GIF do they use pictures or video? Where does the material that they use for their GIF come from? I assume google images. Any Youtube videos, or something along the same line, would be helpful. Thank you.First off, to make gifs from videos you have to be familiar with a couple of softwares:Screen caption software.Editing software.Which programs you use will depend on your working platform (e.g. Windows, Mac, etc). I started making gifs on Mac, currently I’m on Windows. My program suggestions are:KMPlayer for capture (Windows/Mac - free). Most gif-makers use this to get the piece of video/movie they want to make their gif from. It gives you a lot of options you can tweak to get the perfect chunk of clip for your gif.Photoshop for editing (Windows/Mac - paid). I’ve heard some people use After Effects and Premier Pro, but personally I prefer to use Photoshop and most gif-makers I know do too. It’s really simple to use when it comes to gif editing. All you need is to have basic knowledge of the Adjustements and that’s it.GifBrewery for capture (Mac only - paid). When I worked on Mac this was what I used to get the clips I needed for my gifs. I find it much simpler than KMPlayer but it has far fewer options. It can also be a lot slower too since the movie or video you want to use has to be uploaded into the app, whereas KMPlayer is a regular video player like VLC with the option of capturing the screen and making a gif out of it.So, basically, to make a gif of a TV show you’re going to need the episode or video of that show. Then you’ll need one of the programs I mentioned, unless you know of other programs. Remember the programs I mentioned are only my personal suggestion.When it comes to the actual gif-making process, how it’s done, what the best settings are, etc, I’m not going to tell you that because not only is it a very long explanation, gif-making is also something you should learn by yourself to find your own technique and style.Either way, if you really need tutorials, I suggest you google something like “gif tutorial tumblr”. Tumblr is pretty much the largest gif database out there and a lot of users have shared their gif-making processes and techniques for those who need a little more help with it.
